I really enjoyed this make and if I were to sew it again {which I probably will!} I'd choose a viscose challis or blend, something with drape because that would work with the amount of ease! I hope you enjoy sewing this one!

I have this pattern and started it but was disappointed with the fit. I used a shirting fabric that was too stiff so I think ill switch to a fabric with more drape. Your dress is lovely! Those embroidered accents make the dress.
Thank you! I think it's quite tricky to get a good fit, especially on something that isn't meant to be fitted! I think I'd make this dress in a viscose challis next time and make the size down!
That’s a gorgeous fabric Tara, I think I’d call it jade green, it’s the only thing coming to mind! And it looks stunning on you ❤ Also, now that it’s made, would you still have sized down to a 14 if you’d have know how much ease there was?
Thank you! Jade green is exactly the colour! I think I would size down if I were to make the dress again and am thinking I'm going to alter the pattern slightly for the next time I sew it!

I have been eyeing this pattern, but the sizing is off. I may give it a go. I have a similar size bust.
It's a lovely pattern but definitely size down 1 size I think. I hope you enjoy making it!
