That bee guy was waiting his whole life for that moment. The moment he got to do his job as a pest control worker, while a crowd of thousands cheered him on and put him on nationals television for his feats.
@@transitfan954No, No she didn’t. If you knew ANYTHIMG about bees you’d understand that this is the time of year that hives grow over populated when this happens fractions of the hive will break off and swarm, while they are without a home they will “swarm” (bundle up in a large mass to protect the newly emerging queen). When these bees swarm they are EXTREMLY docile and just need to be picked up and moved.
@@transitfan954 That is a sign of a strong queen (mother according to Ab'e Warr'e). Honeybees that have successfully overwintered can swarm the following spring /early summer, due to overpopulation of their hive. That is why beekeepers will "artificially" swarm (split) a hive that has successfully overwintered to avoid a natural swarm, as seen here. The old queen that overwintered will vacate the hive with over half the population (Swarm) and cluster like that, while scout bees look for a compatible home (hive). When they are swarming like that, they are not a threat due to the fact they do not have any honey or brood (offspring) to guard. Also queens do not make any decisions for the hive, she cant even feed herself. The workers (daughters) are the one that will make queen cells where a new queen will emerge to take over said colony, while the old queen swarms. The only responsibility the queen has is to lay eggs. She does not give orders. That is why Abe Warre doesnt call them queen bees, but instead just mother bee. So no, that queen did her job marvelously, and her daughters are the ones that decided to swarm.
You know, I got to give respect for that umpire at 14:56 for allowing the coach to argue for a long time and only ejecting him after he unnecessarily came out of the dugout a second time. So many refs nowadays will eject a player just for looking at them the wrong way. It's nice to see an umpire that didn't do that.
i was at that dodgers game with the bees, it was insane and honestly, it was a bit annoying cause the wait was so long, but it was worth it for a good game, even if we lost
I am loving these video you do dude. But may I suggest adding the year to the clips being used? With all the rule changes as of late, it would be helpful with what rules are in play for that time like 2015 banning the rushing of the catcher and obviously 2023 when the pitch clock was introduced
ive seen alot of bee removals on youtube.. embarrassing how many... and i think this guy just killed them and vacuumed them up.. ive never seen someone douse the bees first.. and they just started dropping off the cluster
7:03 This is the kinda mistake you normally only see in little league intermediate. Also saw the Nationals play with Vargas live at the game. Typical A’s baseball.
Finding the queen would've taken to long and risked agitating the swarm. He sprayed them with the bee equivalent of sleeping gas and then sucked them into a vacuum so they could be safely relocated. (this isn't a joke, that's literally what he did. there's a post game interview where he talks about it)
Lmao they immobilized the bees and took them off-site. They weren't killed. They were also later confirmed to be Africanized so they were dangerous as well. Do some research bud 😂

That's the kind of stuff you fantasize about on a bus or something, having a normal skill be part of some heroic moment.
We should've gotten a "The Bee Man" card in MLB The Show lol
I'll bet a lot of the female fans asked the pest control company for that guy's personal number.
Bee guy deserves a spot in the hall
He's getting a baseball card which is even cooler
Damn bees. They need a new queen, she got them into that mess 🙄

He still has that childish whimsy that we all need to
This compilation doesn't show it but they let the bee guy throw out the first pitch of that game lmao
"The white is too distracting to the batter. So we'll give him this all yellow one, instead."

Got to be more careful
7:53 - How did they still botch that after watching replay? It was very clear that it did not go into the catcher's glove.
6:43 what a play. give me stuff like this over a homerun any day.

Whoops! Yankees announcers accidently let that slip through from a fan.

Bro had to hunt for his earpiece like a contact lens all because the Astros can't follow rules.
Can you do a awful umpiring one next?
Wtf is going on with baseball? That disengagement rule and the ‘shift violation’?
Is that the same bee removal guy that got to throw out the first pitch afterward?

you have to have a lot of guts to piss off a bee colony
8:10 - "Went into the pitcher's glove"
Except it didn't?
It did, he scooped it from his chest into his hand
Part 8 better have the Mariner's fan who got the two foul balls back to back
Some of these are very interesting
if the coaches are that bad at work I feel sorry for their partners and children at home remember hush hush amerika eh
Alright, the disengagement rule is stupid.

Some umpires would have called the pickoff attempt at 7:03 a balk because he didn't throw to a base.
