I can definitely help with that!
I try to use my own hair whenever possible if it's similar enough to the character i'm doing. I did Yuuri Wakasa from School Live and simply styled my own hair. Saves your wallet a little if you are short on money. Or, it could be a good emergency plan for when the wig takes too long to arrive. 😅
Yes! I didn't wear wigs at all when I first started cosplaying and it saved me from a lot of headaches, literally XD
That works really well if your doing dream smp cosplays, i have short brown hair and I cosplayed Tubbo and George with out a wig. :D
i have blonde hair and my first cosplay was toga, so all I was missing was bangs

Actually, same. I buy all of my wigs on amazon and the only wig that I have that isn't from amazon is my Ibuki Mioda wig from l-email wigs. I really love all of my wigs and they are really good quality so I don't know why people always say amazon wigs aren't good :(
the seller IMEYLE has great wigs too! they usually sell for around 28-14 dollars and they're really good quality! thats where i got my junko wig from :)

I’m thinking about doing a Lucy from disenchantment closet cosplay, but that’s for the future. Yesterday I actually got my full kazuichi cosplay and I’m gonna add my own kandi jewlery and I’m making a monster gun (it’s a head canon) and im super excited! I just got two wigs for Christmas and it was denki and todoroki from my hero academia and the thumbnail scared me cuz I got the same exact wig that was in the thumbnail so I didn’t know if I was good or not 😂

That DAOTS long blonde wig is one one I actually purchased for my friend who wanted to do a Luna Lovegood cosplay she has still yet to do that cosplay but she has done gendered Bakugo closet cosplay and a Misa Amane closet cosplay and it is really nice except it is kinda small

I got a MapOfBeauty wig for one of my dream cosplays as a Christmas gift, I was super excited and got to work right away, but I was super sad with the wig. The wig itself was decent for the price, but the inside where you put on the wig cap (I don’t know the name) wasn’t the kind that works best, and what’s worse is I sadly couldn’t make it work because it was a ponytail wig and the clips wouldn’t stay in place. I’m trying to find a better wig for Kaguya-Sama. The wig was really good though, just don’t by a 2 ponytail clip wig and only use one in the back.

Ok ok hi, I know this is an older video but it has mapofbeauty wigs in it and I need a bit of info for an N cosplay from Pokémon. If anyone has some information that would be amazing. The big thing is are mapofbeauty wigs dyeable with like Rit dyemore fabric dye? The other thing is, what type of wig is it? Like a mesh cap or not so it’s easy to splice cause I wanna make his ponytail really fluffy and voluminous. I can’t afford expensive wigs so if anyone has info on this or can point me in the right direction, lmk!! Thank you!!

I have a question is it ok to only get a wig for a cosplay and not the outfit?
ofc!! you can get a wig and just wear what you usually do, it's like a casual version of the person you are cosplaying. For example, i have a kaneki wig and i wear it with a black hoodie, it's faynnn.
Hey I just wanted to ask is it ok to cosplay older age people than urself?
I think it is! I've cosplayed a lot of characters both older and younger than me. Just be careful when you interact with people, especially at conventions- if you're cosplaying an older character, people may think you're older than you are, so it may be good to say something so they know your age.
I know I'd feel really bad if I started swearing around a young person or did something to make them uncomfortable!

Has anyone else had really awful experiences with mapofbeauty wigs? They really feel like a one time use thing for me.. they tangle WAY WAY worse than any other brand ive used and end up matting if i leave them styled while storing the. Tbh whenever i read reviews for them it always seems to be whem people first get them and like yeah! Thryre besutiful out of the package but they just tangle way more than they should and you can get way better wigs for the price
Hi, I'm not trying to pick on you specifically, but this video seems to be circulating again and I've gotten a lot of comments like yours. Basically- information changes. This video is two years old and the wigs I purchased from mapofbeauty are now five years old. It's very possible they have a new supplier and quality has changed in that time! So mapofbeauty may no longer be the best brand to purchase from. The main goal of the video is sharing how to use search terms to find the wig you want 😊

Really MapOfBeauty?? I'm a little surprised, the wig I got from them was horrible. Thin even before all the hair started falling out.
Keep in mind this video is 2+ years old, so the product quality may have changed. I have a few MapOfBeauty wigs I bought in 2017 and they've held up really well.
