My tip is stay on campus first year because of the social aspect, some private halls off campus won’t have this. The on campus accommodation is very old but don’t be put off that for first year. Then into second and final year people normally move into a house in town because the halls aren’t the nicest

I'm looking at schools that are good for criminology, criminal justice, and things like that. Loughborough is #1 in UK. I really want to study abroad in London before I just up and move there.

Is the uni very ethnically diverse?
I find it to be, and the cultural societies are quite big E.g. the ACS is one of the biggest student-led societies at the uni

Congrats on your offer. Since I’m not an international student, I’m not best placed to answer your question. There are, however, plenty of fun things to do at Loughborough.

Well, as a Loughborough grad, I would recommend Loughborough. I’m not too familiar about the reputation of economics at Birmingham, but I know that Loughborough has an all-round strong reputation.
Studying Art and design in this university, is it a good choice?
Nottingham or Loughborough for accounting and finance? Both entry requirements are AAB. On the complete uniguide Loughborough is ranked 11th whilst Nottingham is ranked 18th for Accounting and Finance.
Haha, I’m not too sure since I don’t study that course, but I have a natural bias towards Loughborough since it’s my uni 😂

Hey there, yeah so there is a section in the accommodation application form, where you can specify a friend or friends that you would like to live with in the same flat. You need their full name and university ID. They’ll try their best to keep you guys together.
Is there much parking at campus?
I don’t think first year students can park on campus, but double check with the uni.
Hey Lads, so I have an offer for MBA from Loughborough University and Queen's University Belfast. I'm literally confused. Loughborough is triple accredited but Queens is Russell Group with AMBA accreditation. Help!?
I guess you should choose the university that you personally prefer. Although Loughborough is not a Russel Group uni, it is still a great uni with an amazing reputation and great graduate job opportunities.
Thinking of going Loughborough as it’s a cracking uni for sport and I’ve heard the facilities are great.
I play sports a lot like football and boxing but I’m more looking at the sports science and psychology side of things so just wondering if you know anything about these topics.

That’s awesome, thanks man! Yeah so I know a few people doing psychology and I also know that Lboro is one of the best uni’s out there for sports science. The people I know doing psychology seem to enjoy it but since I don’t study it i can’t give my in-depth opinion on it really.
In terms of the people, you’ll find people that you can gel with easily. That might be on your course, Socieities and even by which accommodation you select since they have “quiet” blocks if that’s what you prefer.
But yeah the student experience is really good!
The psychology dept is one of the best in world..I did social psychology it was fantastic

Claudia Parsons is nice. But any accommodation on campus should provide you with a good social life tbh.

Yeah of course! So, the town is quite small, and there are many students in the area. New restaurants and spots are being opened in town, which is great. Leicester and Nottingham are also quite close, if you want even more things to do. I’d say that there are quite a few part-time jobs to do - it shouldn’t be that hard to find something. Glad you found it informative. I would say that the website will give you the best answer. John Phillips should be a good distance. But any accommodation on campus is not too far away from anything on campus (compared to living in town).

Glad you found it useful! To answer your question, I think it’s possible but there is no guarantee. They probably look at situations like this on an individual basis. But you can definitely get that ABB. Get Anki flash cards on your laptop for your revision!!

I know a few people who changed course so I believe there is a good level of flexibility

Hey there, yep there are. I’m not sure what the exact stats are but from my experience there is plenty of diversity. Especially if you join a society like the ACS or ASOC etc.

Hey, I think Telford is the cheapest accommodation. It’s right at the centre of campus close to the library.

Hey there! To answer your question, many people do rent houses in their 2nd and 3rd years. That’s quite common.

I start at Loughborough on the 28th. I’ve just checked on learn Loughborough and my timetable is so confusing. I pretty much have a lecture everyday, are some of these lectures drop ins I don’t need to attend or are they all mandatory.

They’ve got an Olympic size swimming pool I believe so there are probably clubs that you can get involved in for swimming. You don’t have to get into sports just because you go to Loughborough.

Definitely Loughborough.. check for guardian ranking of finance universities in UK. You'll see Loughborough in 5th position.
How much is accommodation in town
The prices range quite a lot. I think you can get some around £4K (or less) up to £8K.

hello bro, I am a football coach looking to move to UK to do my masters in football coaching and management. loughborough seems to be a very famous option however the fee for the course mentioned on the website is around 25000 pounds, so is it worth in terms of getting employment ?
Hey bro! Hope you’re good. To answer your question: Loughborough is very good for employment after uni, especially since they encourage students to do an industrial placement in between their second and third year of study. This gives you experience of the industry you want to get into, and the chance to get grad offers.
For studiying exercise science
Probably Loughborough because it’s got a very strong reputation in sports. But best to ask someone who studies that at each uni.

Glad you liked it! To answer your question: the food was pretty much the usual that you would expect tbh. So on some days there was chicken, then beef, then fish. Hey there, yep Loughborough is a top U.K. uni. I’m not sure how universities are ranked on a global scale but Loughborough does rank top 10 in every single National league table. Reception might be able to direct you to a better answer.
@@mistamontero Hey bro if you can answer this for me it'll be helpful---I got an offer from Loughborough University for Masters in Business Analytics right away the next day of applying (which is today), and I submitted my documents yesterday, and I find this vv weird :I but is this like normal for them? Also, they appear on the league's table really high (appreciate that) but not on other rankings like QS and THE. So does that mean they have high reputation for Bachelors but not Masters's? (Because someone told me how League's table only depicts ranking for Bachelors courses and not Master's). PLEASE CLARIFY ALL THIS FOR ME PLEASE. Also is like Uni of Leeds > LBoro or vice versa?
@@sumayya847 I’m not too sure how quickly they respond when giving offers but if you haven’t already called student services to check that this was correct then I’d recommend that you do that. With regards to Loughborough’s rank when it comes to Masters, I am not 100% about where they are positioned! All I can be sure of is that the Loughborough name has a very good reputation (in getting jobs as well) so that is what I would lean on.
Also, I’m not sure as to where Leeds ranks to be honest. If you haven’t checked their website already then I think you should to see their achievements. Lboro presents theirs quite clearly on their website.

Umm I don’t know the exact ratio, but when you walk around campus there definitely seems to be an balanced ratio.
I am looking at applying to Loughborough pretty sure I came across the percentage 59% male to 42% female (the complete university guide website )
Is Loughborough good for mathmatical subjects because I got a offer for economics and I'm into sports but I'm just not sure if the uni is right for economics?

It is in the top 15 for economics. I’m doing economics too and I think I will pick it. If you like sports then it would also be good for sport clubs and the sport facilities that they have to offer.
