Some really good points there. We have been a bit less worried if we are staying overnight and have access to an onsite hotel to go and get dry and warm but there’s lots here to make sure that the beautiful British weather doesn’t mean your day is a wash out.
When I went to Alton towers during the summer, it started to rain down very badly. However, all the rides other than the smiler were open and it was actually very fun. Especially on oblivion and Rita! We also got a rainy day ticket too (unfortunately couldn’t do the rainy day tickets though as they only yet you use it during school time and not holidays)
I'm glad you still enjoyed the rides despite the weather and I hadn't realised you could only use them outside of school holidays, that's a bit sneaky really.
Yep! The curse at Alton manor is located in gloomy wood which is pretty much in between dark forest and forbidden valley. This was new for 2023 after replacing an old zombie ride. It is fun and good addition. It’s a ghost train / dark ride about a young girl who lives in her attic (more on the story in the lobby and the ride itself) which features afew animatronic jump scares and some good theming. (Warning: flashing lights and loud noises)

If you have 2 days in the park it's slightly easier but to just not worry and leave the park a little earlier but if you only have one day just reride gangsta granny bc it's the best ride in the park and I will not have the slander 😂

Yeah the castle is actually pretty cool. I think Hex leaves that way - as in, the exit goes into the towers, so it's a good time to do it then.

The outdoor rides will stop if there is a storm what is 5-10 mins away. Got stuck on oblivion last year due to a storm what was 5 mins away
