Wow Alex, I must say that I thought this 4.d4 exd4 5.0-0 in the Two Knights and Max Lange Attack stuff was just 19th century garbage for White until I watched your videos. I've got a bunch of opening theory books for Black with 1.e4 e5 and I have to admit that I've always just looked at the final evaluations of these lines (Black pretty much equalises with best play), then memorised the first 6-8 moves and called it a day, figuring that it would be easy enough to work out the rest over the board if my opponent naively played these lines against me instead of the 'proper' 3.Bb5. It's kind of humbling for me watching your videos to see just how difficult and dangerous these lines are for Black because it shows that I was just being lazy with my opening 'study'. I think there's little chance right now that I would survive in these openings with Black against strong White play. Hopefully this will spur me on to a more diligent work ethic. 😳 Great video my man!
Hey man, thanks! You know, doing a stream or two has been something on my mind last few weeks, for old times sake if nothing else! Not sure about regular streaming though as I don't think I have the time for both YT + Twitch at the moment
@@dommu_ Uff, that event might just be a bit too strong for this old dog. I was thinking some 10+0 tourney with relaxed commentary and some tea by my side, but who knows...if I'm feeling it then I won't rule out doing a Titled Tuesday!
