Why does it not have a metronome?

Thanks, these are some great tips! I'm wondering if you could make a video in which you make a beat and kit from scratch and show how you would normally do it (including kit management, when you'd use system overwrite vs write pattern, kit, or system, etc.). It might be good for me to see how someone else does it. Say you want to use a similar kit to another pattern but with only small changes, such as altering kick decay or the tuning of the snare. In order for both patterns and kits to be saved for when you turn on the device next time, you have to save the new kit in a different kit slot, correct? So that means any small changes in the kits could end up taking up multiple slots. I know there are 128 kit slots but only 9 come blank after version 2.0 and I have this thing where I don't like saving over kits but I guess there's no way around it. Anyway, I know I'm not actually limited with the TR-8S, but with kits I wish there were a lot more blank slots!

You are right. The standard blank kits are are not enough... I created a blank kit template so I can overwrite those kits and patterns I want to use but keep my blank template kit and pattern always free and clean so in total I have 127 kits to use.
I know what you mean with those little changes... This definitely takes space up.
The TR-8S is kind of limiting but it's not too bad... Can't have everything and for a drum machine it's pretty versatile. Compared with let's say Arturia or so.
I will do a video about how to make a beat from scratch! I will also create a series about problems with the TR-8S and a transition series.
I just need more time of work... Haha

Danke für die Videos! Ich habe ein Problem, ich benutze die TR8S zusammen mit Traktor. Leider regiert die TR8S nicht auf die offset Midi Clock von Traktor, egal ob +100ms oder -100ms der Versatz von einigen Millisekunden bleibt unverändert (im Sync Modus)...Woran kann das liegen?
