I purchased this kit two weeks ago from the LHS, and its a nice kit. Took my time building it though. One thing on the body to remove-able top. it lines up fairly well, but the sides puff out away from the main bodies sides. Not sure if it does that on other kits or if I mounted it slightly off.? But over all its easy to build and tune. Wish the body wouldve had dimples on where to drill out the mounting holes for all the fasteners. Wouldve made placing body accessories much easier.
Too funny. I saw your tracks yesterday out there,,,lol Cool Vehicle....will have to add it to the arsenal!!! Great job Axial! Another winner! 2-AX10's 2-XR10's 1-Wraith 1-EXO Terra 4-SCX-10's (soon to be a fifth)
Love the look of the new Rubicon. The kit with the removable hard top is even better. You missed the mark on the inside though. This really should have a full interior, not a half, so should the dingo for that matter. You should at least sell one after market for those that would like to be scale and don't have the skill to make one from scratch.
It has a slightly longer wheelbase than the Dingo. So, it will be a little more capable on big steep climbs. The Dingo will work better in tight technical terrain.
We like to move the battery to the front. This gives the overall package a more scalistic weight bias and handling characteristics. Look on the Axial website and look in the blog section for Bender's blog post called BODY TECH - 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Kit Keep an eye on the blog as Bender will be doing the battery reposition mod in the near future. You can simply copy paste: BODY TECH - 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Kit Keep and drop it into your search to get you there!
nice video, I have an old ax10 scorpion but it has the Chassis twist while sudden acceleration, which I don't really like. Do you get that on this newer chassis?
Is there a Standard "2 door version" of this Jeep, possibly in silver? :P Edit: Nevermind, I found your site and there is a chopped rendition of the Jeep in 2 door mode.. :D
Good ol' Southern California Eucalyptus trees imported from where, I do not know!?!?!? Hehehehehe SoCal I'm sure was desert shrub all the way up to the coast as everything is artificially flavored now...
Well, as these are crawlers, you usually won't be running them at great distances because you need to be close to watch what path your tires are taking while you're crawling. That being said, most 2.4 gHz systems have very good range and as this video is showcasing a kit you'll have to buy your own transmitter. Axial uses Flysky and they should be good about as far away as you can judge the direction of your rig. In these days of RC with everyone going to the 2.4 system range and interference are not common concerns in my experience.
I'm asking because I want to use FPV system and would like to know the distance reaches from my transmitter. or what is the best RECEIVER for the carriage arrives at a great distance from my location. sorry for my English. Thank you.
*arlen cg* I have always used plasti dip . U can get it for 6$ if u live in the U.S. I know a lot of foreign countries don't sell it but its never failed me yet :)
O how i wish axial would send me one to promote id make hundreds of videos an make my friends so jealous thry would all have to buy one . Ill keep dreaming i know
WTF.. I got excited because I thought this was an Electric Jeep... you know, A real Jeep.. It turns out that it is electric and it is a jeep but it's only suitable for GI Joe's and Barbie dolls.
Wow, was praying for a kit version. You made it happen, thanks Axial, can't wait for it to hit stores in Switzerland. This is my next RC.
Love it

It is included in the kit only, but can be ordered separately and painted to match the RTR.
Great stuff just what we have all hoped for :-) thanks Axial. RTR due in the UK this month, can't wait for these to arrive too.
I spy Coonce's Bugeye WRX in the window reflection at 0:21. I love that car.

Is the rtr verersion a remake of the owners car?
We painted the top on the outside of the body to get that flat black look.
I have the RTR, and have just ordered the hard top. How did you paint the top flat black???
how does it preform with the battery in the battery in the back compared to the honcho with the battery in the front
Is the top covering for kit only, or does the RTR also include it?
This chassis design has a lot less torque twist issues than the older AX10's, because of a better suspension link set-up.
It is a stock kit with the battery mounted up front, no upgrades or hop-ups installed.
It is the Kit Version of the RTR.
the roof is removable also
how esay is it to put together im new to building kits
Where can you get this body? Is there a hard body version? I have been trying for 11 days to source out this body but can't find it anywhere.
