Following up on the contiuned fixes from the last video on the GMC Sierra Stepside, today we are replacing the bed caps and programming new key fobs. When I showed you this truck I knew I couldn't live with the wavy bed caps and the fact the driver side had screws in it drove me crazy. Unlike the fleet side truck the step side beds have to have a bed cap or rail cap. It hides the fender to box or bed transition. The good thing is GM still makes the replacement bed cap or rail cap for the stepside or sport side silverado and sierra. I highly recommend using the GM parts as they fit perfect and install pretty easy. I did take the time to clean a lot of the top of the bed to make sure the new caps stuck. They install with clips on one side and 2 sided tape on the other. Next I wanted a new key fob or keyless entry remote. You can get these on amazon for cheap and on the 03-07 they are easy to program. In this video I show you how to program the keyless entry or key fob and this will work on tahoe silverado sierra yukon in the same years. I wanted a red set so I can tell the difference from the other trucks I have. LOL Too many trucks here. These are 2 more things that continue to make the truck better. Now we need to sell it! This is painfully familiar, the previous owner of my truck put aftermarket bed caps on my RCSB steel bed. I never saw so much tape in my life, just like you I let the eraser wheel do its magic.
Yeah people get crazy with that stuff. Lol
