@@OlliePotts but one experience cannot generalise entirely the reputation of a country!! It happened to me to have diarrhea in UK too, what should I say mate? 🤔 Shit happens!
Like videos on every travel channel, people can only share their own experiences - good or bad! I loved the country, just sadly the food didn't like us :)
I found the food safe. Transportation was well organized. Food service normal. Cash? I used a credit card the entire time including the bus to the airport.
You are talking complete nonsense man. Albania is a such beautiful country with very warm and friendly people. The food is unique and very safe. I don't know why you say these things, you don't have much personal experience and in just a few days there is no way to find out what is good or not. Apparently, you see things in a way that many people will not like, and they are unlikely to subcrible you. 🤔😏
I agree it's a beautiful country with warm & friendly people 100%. Unfortunately I just don't agree with you about the food from my experience! That's my opinion :)
you are a left-behind villager who has learned to live under bridges when you go as a tourist to another country. Albania is a real pearl and don't think that the whole world is talking about it, only you, the peasants, and your regulars.
An Englishman complains about another countries cuisine 😂. Let’s not forget the British cuisine consists of unidentifiable beige lumps of something or other deep fried into oblivion. Plastic so called breads, sausages made out several animals including their unmentionables that should come with health warning and bad imitations of Indian dishes. Albania is mentioned consistently for its fresh produce and unique fusion of Ottoman and Mediterranean. I’d rather go into an Albanian restaurant every day of the week than into a British one once a year
@@OlliePotts Technically Albania is same as Greece and Croatia, I would probably consider it Southern Europe. You may consider it East, but eastern Europe is Russia, Ukraine and Georgia.
I believe your points are not quite honest. Albania is a lovely country with kind and welcoming people and especially the food is far more fresh and delicious than other western European countries.
I am an American but I’ve been in Albania for the past five months and this is my second visit here. This video is by far THE most inaccurate video that I have ever seen about Albania. 1-The food is amazing here very fresh and yummy, most people who are getting sick are cheap backpackers who don’t want to buy water and drinking from the tap. The water itself doesn’t have any problem, but the piping in this country is old so you should ALWAYS buy water, plus literally there is a pharmacy in every corner and the medicine is so much cheaper than every other country in Europe 🙄 2- food service is slow everywhere in Europe comped to The U.S. it is not slower in Albania than Paris and it NEVER takes up to an hour to get your food! 3- I would say in 60% of places specially in big cities like Shkoder or Tirana you can pay with credit card. 4- some of your advices are as obvious as saying water is wet!! Book your hostel two weeks in advance and don’t go to ATM every other day think about how much you want to spend and take out that amount at once! So shocking 5- again extremely inaccurate information there are several taxi services such as green taxi or blue taxi that you can contact them via WhatsApp or get the Patoko App they are very reliable and extremely reasonably priced. I booked with them several times myself for an example a 3 AM airport ride was only 1200 lak or €12 for 25 minutes ride! I’m sure you would like to have more followers and views on your videos, but please do your research next time!!
@@OlliePotts I completely understand and there is nothing wrong with backpacking, I have done it myself. It’s just not OK to give inaccurate information such as it takes an hour to get your food or there is no option to order a cab online if you don’t know, you don’t know, but don’t stated those as facts. Also, I don’t think being a backpacker means you don’t care about your health a large bottle of water is 60¢ here!
lol this is the first time ever I hear anyone warn about food in albania…and it comes from a british guy 🤣🤣 You certainly know quality food in the UK, do you? anyway, food was very safe in Albania and absolutely delicious
@@OlliePotts i believe you. i m just thinking you might have been to the wrong places and a bad place would give you the shits anywhere in the world. in general, food in albania doesn’t cause any side effects or it would be known. now i was also suggesting that as a brit you might not be a quality food connaisseur, but i m just playing on a cliché there, no hate
A Brit preaches us all about culture. Kill me now. 😂😂😂 A “civilisation’ that until only a few centuries ago lived in huts made of mud and straws and a country where only a couple of hundred years ago people shat out of their windows. Whose museums are filled with artefacts stolen, robbed and plundered from other cultures. A country whose national dis is Indian Curry. A country with the highest percentage of people with Pakistani origin.
This trip looks so fun!
WTF mate!!! Food in Albania! Is the best quality and fresh enough compared to other countries
Just our experience, that's the only thing I can base it on! Will definitely be back though

So good that Albanians flee to the UK in mass.

We went to one or two places maximum that accepted card in Tirana & the north!

Western European standards? Albania is Western Europe (as Greece). To be honest"I would rather bring anti-diarrhea tablets to the UK:D
You're not wrong about UK food! Albania is definitely in the east of Europe though :)
