Everything remains tight and the leather and paint still holds up like a 5 year old vehicle. 250k miles and still running, albeit with the infamous throttle control issue which was this model’s Achilles heel. The I30 was the most well built car my family has ever owned, the rear seat comfort and space was like a limousine. PS: 10 years into owning it we discovered a secret cup holder that pops out of the front passenger AC vent. A full size cup holder 🤌

I’ve owned one since 2009 as well. 278K miles now as of 2024. Great car, fun to drive, with an excellent build quality. The clear coat is fading on the roof now unfortunately, but she’s almost 25 years old, and has usually been parked outside for a few years now…
The Maxima from this same year with the exact same drive train was mid to high 7s0-60 and high 15s at around 90 mph in the quarter with the automatic so yeah there was something amiss with this car for some reason.It looked like they got a decent launch so,who knows?
Motorweek has hated Infiniti for years. This car, the 08 g37...all have 0-60 times that are much different than motorweek. Glad we have other sources now.
Your comment is just silly. 0-60 times have nothing to do with "hate". In an automatic car, you mash the throttle and record the time. Whatever time you get, you get. It's not like "hate" magically makes the car slower or something.
Not really. I’ve owned that same exact model since 2009 and it honestly feels relatively agile and “light on its feet”. The power to weight ratio is very good. The turning radius on the other hand is ridiculously large: similar to maneuvering the Titanic 😂

The Infinit i30 is comfortable, solid car, reliable and nice car
People used to mistake my 02 Q45 for this car. The Q is a totally different beast.

I've never liked these. Every time I saw these around DC, I wished it was a J30.
Gas mileage?
Around 24mpg combined. I did up to 26mpg several times when doing 80% freeway / 20% city (source: I own a base 2000 i30)

Maybe it's their location I know power isn't as strong above a certain elevation something about the atmospheric pressure I think.
