Good diagnostic and fix. Someone just gave me almost the same car. And fyi That JB welded thing under the plastic is the coolant bleeder valve. But, a very common problem with these is water getting inside the battery box area due to leaves and whatnot draining. You have to clear out the drain holes. As water gets in there it ends up running down the firewall getting to the computers under the driver seat. 90% of the electrical issues are from that water. Also the Pcv which you addressed is a common easy fix that is often failing. And yes the smoke machine is a fast way to find most of all the common air related problems this car has. It’s actually a nifty little engine minus its air and electrical common denominators. Usually water related. *Now I just have to find out why my 2004 won’t shift into 3rd gear. As it continues to go into limp mode the minute it tries to go into third gear. But anyway nice video.. very thorough knocking out one issue at a time. Cheers.
Geez brother......that car was a total rats nest of issues. Intake, PVC, coils, ground wire corrosion, and much more....It was cool to see your truck set up a bit too. Might integrate a “tour” of that at some point in the future.
i really enjoy all your video content but most of the time i listen with headphones and when the video starts it almost blows head off so turn down and then cant hear you talk can you stabilize the volume some way
I can try for future videos. Honestly it's amazing how different it sounds with different t devices. My laptop I cannot hear anything from my videos unless the room is quite. My phone makes it insanely loud and my tablet is okay most of the time.
@@RobertDotterer i listen on my home pc most of the time others in the house don't want to hear so i use headphones if i am at work i use tablet and dont worry about it. but thanks so much for what you do you and the other guys have helped me so much.due to health reasons i had to get more into diag than heavy lifting. thanks again
Diag is always the way to go. More money, less work. I'll try to see if I can level the volume out for the future. Also some computer have the option to level the sound.
Here it is Christmas morning thank god for Robs UA-cam videos. Someday when this pandemic ends I’ll get a life Lol. Can’t wait to see what Santa left under the tree. Please let there be TOOLS. Good video see you later Enjoy 😊🇺🇸

Thank you for the tips and watching. I would check the connector on the trans and make sure it isn't damaged. Hope you find your issue.
Heck yeah, man.. this gives me a ton of things to check on my B5 1.8t.
I'm glad it helped.
Yep, had one not too long ago. Battery hold down missing on a Pilot. Battery voltage was 10.5 intermittently. dead give away of a shorted cell
Awesome! Missing hold downs kill batteries.
Love smoke machines. I was thinking about getting the model you have on my next purchase.

I have had soldered cables I had to redo after a few years. Solder on high current cables really shouldn't be used. Crimp them if you can.
I usually take a punch and stake them when I am worried about them. I will be getting a hydraulic crimping tool soon.
Misfre counters group 15 and 16
You are awesome!
Hi my audi has a rough idle
Looks like some diagnostic work is needed.
