i sure am glad i found your channel. my friends and I play Invaders and after I just had gotten into painting minis I said that I could paint some minis for them. Really needed inspiration for Big Jeff here, had no idea how to paint it before this, now i finally have some!
But Zombicide minis sure have the "too many details" syndrome, especially on the survivors...
Yeah the survivors definitely have a lot going on! Invaders is definitely one of my favorite versions of Zombicide.

I am only a novice painter but really enjoy watching your videos for information, but more importantly inspiration. Sometimes it's hard just getting paint on the brush as most projects can seem quite daunting.
Really like the color choices you used here. Also like the basing. I tried the GW Martian Ironearth or something like that. Was not happy looked reddish orange in the pot but actually is more like a pink mixed with brown when it dries. Messed up all the cracks trying to paint it. I know it happens to all of us but scrapping and restarting when on the basing step is not fun.
Yeah I bought some of that too, just to try it out - but you wouldn't get cracks in the ground unless you had wet ground that completely dried out. Is there a lot of water on Mars in the 40k universe? Anywho, I like the sandy look of Brown Earth.
@@HeroesBosses Yes, but when you add the Reikland Fleshshade it looks way more like what I envisioned than the ironearth color.

I would have personally done a black wash and then a heavy dry brush of rakarth flesh but great vid
Black would create a stronger contrast for sure. I prefer more subtle shading & highlights - but it's all personal preference!

All good all good, I appreciate the video. One critique though. That base, why did you go with mars earth? Every where the spoiler abomination goes it spreads that black corruption stuff.
To be honest, I started with a different base. I tried to make some "tendrils" and spores on the ground using greenstuff, but I didn't like the way it looked. So I just decided to go with the Martian look from the box art.
What brand of brushes are you using?
I normally use cheap brushes for most of the work - Mod Podge brushes - sizes 0, 1 and 2. For fine detail I switch to a better brush - Windsor & Newton size 1.
Wonder if Mod Podge brushes in the Great White North are pretty different that that product description in the states. Based in a search.. it is😀

Super cheap :) But they are good for your base coats, washes, etc.
