That blue eyes is the royal blue eyes related to the millennium item and grampa moto has much respect for the artifact and thus the official blue eyes of the artifact respect grampa moto. The blue eyes that Seto has is from the run away slave to help watch over him as he did for her in the ancient times. Two different monsters of the same creature.

i'm pretty sure the new blue eyes is a rederence to the manga where kaiba tries to change of heart the blue eyes but the dragon refuses
What more crazy is Kaiba, in the anime 100 percent commissioned Pegasus and industrial illustrations to make official support cards for the Blues White Dragon. The ones he is essentially the Soul owner off. Still couldn’t beat Yugi.
The real question is: How are we gonna put that Non-Blue-Eyes White dragon Support card, into a Blue-Eyes (all variants accepted) deck? 🤔🤔🤔
It's under the Blue-Eyes archetype from what I understand.
Actually it's supposed to be a reference to the original Yu-Gi-Oh by toei, Kaiba attempts to summon granpas blue eyes after swapping it with a counterfeit blue eyes to Yugi then later duels him but blue eyes won't obey Kaiba and thus was forced to used a monster to end up a draw
This card is a reference to the manga Yu-Gi-Oh, and to the first duel made by Kaiba and Pharaoh in the manga

That's how it's treated in Duel Links.
The most "successful" Exodia deck in that platform right now uses 3x Blue Eyes, White stone of Legend, Trade in, and Cards of consonance, as an engine to dig through the deck as fast as possible.

Blue-Eyes has always been Exodia support, kinda. Exodia decks used to run Toon Table of Contents, which could search itself. That essentially gave Exodia players a 37-card deck, which naturally makes Exodia easier to grab. But they'd also throw in a Toon monster to use that last search and thin the deck further, and that was usually Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon.

What always bothered the crap out of me is there are only 4 blue eyes in the anime, but why? Like, you can only run 3 copies of a specific card in a deck and you NEED 3 in order to summon Blue-eyes Ultimate, so what was the point of the fourth?
