Amazing video, thank you for providing all of the information. Just to clarify, when you are speaking of salary wages from 60-70k in CA for agencies, are you speaking pre or post licensure? I am creating a budget post grad school and would love to know what I should expect. Thank you.
Thank you! I wouldn't expect to make 60-70k until after licensure. There are some rare exceptions but you have to get pretty lucky to get that kind of salary pre-licensure.
A great place to check for job listings for master's-level therapists in California is: prelicensed.com You can browse through those listings and get an idea for salaries. For example, if you're bilingual, you're going to automatically start higher than non-bilingual therapists whether you're licensed or not.
How long did it take you to complete the MFT program at CSUN and can you describe your experience and if it was worth going there to save money v a private school.
Hi Deidre-Ann, great question! This is not necessarily a problem. I suggest contacting the MFT programs you are interested in and asking them about this. Each may have a different policy about it.

What if your undergraduate degree is from another country? Would that be a problem in trying to get a masters in MFT?

What is the actual difference between FMT and MHC?
Hi Thanks for sharing.
My question is do you have a MFT program in your institute? Could you please send me more information about your program. 🙏🌺
We are aiming to start admissions in Fall 2023, after receiving approval from the CA BBPE
