I had to restart this a few times -- many of these suggestions will seem obvious to seasoned knitters, but hope they help someone: 1. After building the ~4" base and dividing into thirds, focus on/remember that you are building off of the MIDDLE section and slowly connecting the side sections. "Row 6" doesn't mean you knit all the way across the 3 sections, it just means you've built up the middle row and are connecting/dropping stitches from one of the sides to bring it all together. 2. Always turn your work in the same direction (as shown in video). 3. It will look goofy in the beginning - don't give up. 4. I put a safety pin on one side of my work -- this helped me remember which side I was slip-stitching and which I was purling. 5. Count the stitches frequently -- if something is wrong and you can catch it, you can undo the row(s) (search on UA-cam).

Every time i do it the sides where there is a ridge type area look very different. One side looks great and the other is wider concave type looking. Appreciate any suggestions. Idk what I am misunderstanding. Thank you
