I am not a Ford man but got one for my GF for £100 from a neighbour also a Ghia with about 40K on it, when I drove it I wondered why I spent money on so called performance/sports cars, it was such fun on the B road twisties, a motorway slog etc. I used to sit in comfort and wonder why I had numerous cars none of which even got close to the Focus's all-round potential. Modern classic for sure.
Have one for 6.5 years now, great fun too drive and pretty reliable. Has 332k km/ 207k miles on a clock and it will be driven many more miles. Been a ford fan since my father had a mk3 escort 1.3l
I got my Mk1 Focus last Easter,, it's 2004 Automatic 1.6 ,,for 550 Euros. it has now got 123'000 on the clock. all Iv done is put a new water pump and belt . its a very good car for a 17 year old ,, I got 115 MPH ,, it does about 40 MPG love it .
Hi all have owned my focus 1,8 zetec for about 14 years now bought it with full service history and only 28 000miles on and it's never let me down and is great fun to drive forgot to say it's a 2001 model😊🚗🚗🚗🚗🚗
This is my first car, i own it for 7 months now, and i bought it just to have a car and it was affordable. Honestly i wouldn't like it in any other way, love my focus, a great all around car.
I have owned 2 of these a black 52 reg 1.6 lx and just last week a silver 04 reg 1.6 lx The 52 reg needed a new brake caliper, a clutch and rear fod light in the time I owned it The 04 reg only has 58K on the clock and has been looked after mechanically, the bodywork needs some attention, it needs rear headrests and the air conditioning doesn't work, but these are things I intend on addressing in the coming months Otherwise the car is simply wonderful and I have no intentions on letting it go any time soon
