I came into marriage with insecurities and checked my husband's phone until he proved to me that he's trustworthy. After trusting him i no longer check. He helped a lot with building the trust. Thank you for this insightful conversation🙏
But should that conversation even arise? If I am somebody's wife or husband, there are probably few things he/she should be hiding. So very few times I need their phone since I have all the information. I think by the time I think about checking your phone (looking for specific information), something has already gone wrong. For your case, what was your cause of insecurity?
@@mupercy1 My husband had many ladies as friends. It was easy for him to relate with women but after the wedding some of his friendships stopped.. most of them started giving us space.. they were from campus and work
My most likely conclusive comment on this topic. When you are married, 1. stop dictating what you receive. be positioned to receive it . 2. Be more consumed by what you give 3. Stay well focused on your own personal purpose- the reason for your existence. the reason you were born. Does your life purpose include checking your partner's phone? Do you live a fulfilled and significant life by checking your partner's phone? Lets start to care for the things that count. Serve your spouse diligently.
Thank you for delving deep into this 'advice' that's given in many marrieds circles! It's really about the underlying issues that lead to the checking. Thx for sharing.
Always Dr. has a different explanation over da same topics we have been hearing and she does it best her way n gives much sense on how we understand it ❤welldone Rachel uo glowing ✨️ gal
Racheal thanks for the show ❤Dr Evas has really explained well todays topic I hv never had anyone explain this topic this way It really hurts seeing yo partner hide his phone bt thanks dearests🎉🎉🎉
Thank you, Dr. Evas for this free & priceless education. Marriage as a partnership, we are indeed called to help each other get better, but I have not heard it explained as clearly as you have. Generally speaking, people intending to get married are not really prepared, which greatly explains the high rates of marriage failure.
I enjoy this show. It just reminds me alot of the Rachel that was on tv. There's a way this feels like home to you, it comes natural. God bless the work. I appreciate you and Dr. Evas
Thank you Dr.Evas & Rachel for this conversation. From the spiritual perspective, the Lord Jesus told me to pray over my husband's fone. I found security in Jesus and my marriage blossomed. So to me am pointing women to the Lord Jesus instead of checking or focusing on the what is in the fone.
Do you realize, suspicious characters push people to snoop in those phones. And still i think if both of you are clean why do you fumble when your partner touches your phone. If you can share your bodies , what is it about a mere phone!!
After checking then what? What's the end of the checking? Why do we create unnecessary jobs for ourselves? Ok, if you check and something is going on, does this improve your life? Does it enhance your role as a spouse? The checking in itself is a mental issue. Spouses will forever respect the partner who doesn't snoop around. On the other hand, spouses feel suffocated by their partners who check check their phones. And this doesn't improve the marriage.
Hi reality check. I am such a fan of the show. Could a series on a topic be followed. The random topics are hard to follow. Otherwise, Thank you for the reality❤ checks
As a psychologist I will tell you:- Check- checking your partners phone creates unnecesary UNREST. You live with a restlessness that is uncalled for. Then you find that you are failing to do what yiu shd do well because your mind is consumed with the next checking episode. Funy thing is when one checks, they check to catch. This checking spouse then is like a hunter looking for prey.
Being someone's partner is not a password to invading their personal space. You can only do so with their permission not bse you are waving a wedding ring.
I don’t think you understand the conversation. No one is setting your partner up to check your phone because she has a ring. The point is, any form of marital unfaithfulness will always be detected in your partner’s spirit and will manifest gross mistrust. That’s the point!
That’s a stupid way girl, do you really think that a man who cheat will tell you that he is cheating, how many people say that they trust their partner but after he or she betray them.
Its good to find out. Search and Find....
Dr Eva’s has a way she handles and breaks down topics that really keeps speaking in my head. Thank you great people for the show.
She's definitely smart and objective.
You needed a man on this one! Their perspective is crucial on this matter

Well put Dr! Checking a partner' s phone is complex. Someone will not wake up just to check a phone.
Key word, "build trust, there won't be reason for suspicion"
In fact am out of my house becz of phone,NYC to hear a good program

A genuine question. I wonder, and feel it should arise when really really necessary.

Please check the phones and know how to pray for them talking from experience
Let's do marriage from a place of rest and let us care for our own contribution to this marriage. Dont police your partner.
There is a big difference between privacy and secrecy
I think it's crazy. If i can check his private parts, i can check his phone. Not checking does not mean nothing is going on.
Nothing useful to add on here. You have both said it all
I look forward to this show. Appreciate you Rachael and Dr. Evas. I was a guest at that weekend too).😅
Thank you for being our regular and faithful guest!
The kind of partners dr is describing. Do they exist?
@josephineasiimwe6802 very much so ..
😅😅 I wish they do. But the hope is that as men learn these things, we see an intentionality in building really healthy relationships.
Instead of checking, talk about stuff. It's a more mature and mutual way.
That’s a stupid way girl, do you really think that a man who cheat will tell you that he is cheating, how many people say that they trust their partner but after he or she betray them.
How can I get Dr Evans is number
