Looking at it, but I dont see any info for where they can deliver those foods. I am in middle of Europe so I imagine it is not for me ? still looking at it makes me really hungry =(
Now you can truly have YOUR OWN SYSTEM to call your own. While they are still proc gen, it is based on the factors YOU pick in the quest. This means people looking for a paradise planet can now make one. Im just sad that there isnt a freighter warpdrive upgrade yet to bring in your freighter to the purple systems.

Not really. NMS's definition of "paradise" is very loose and my definition of "paradise" is strictly Earth-like: meaning green plants, blue skies, oceans, safe temperature range, no violent storms, abundant flora and fauna, and no sentinels. The planet I got failed all of those requirements except for abundant flora.

It would be cool to some day also have actual gas giants with no surface. There could be floating facilities kinda like The Arbiter mission in Halo 2.
Imagine it just gets denser and denser as you descend? Maybe for "game" reasons have either a point where its dense enough that you can "walk" or "swim" in it, but continuing to descend risks implosion and worse storms or something (the reality is we don't really know what's down there, just guesses based on known science, and what's happening in large gas giants is stretching what we currently know about materials science, among many others!)
I've felt this way for a while, but I feel it's more important now that there are purple, red and blue systems, given the background color can make seeing the true color of the system difficult, but I think we really need to be able to filter systems by color.
You mean filter by color as in remove all colored star systems from the map you don't want to see? making it easier for purple/ blue/ green star systems specifically?
@@SplarcieRS @SplarcieRS not necessarily remove them. More likely we'd see something like the combat or economy filters. If you chose red, all red stars remain red, and the rest turn white, or grey or something along those lines. Same if you chose purple/blue/yellow/green. Everything would be white except the color you want to find. This would be more effective if it muted the background colors. ...Or the filter can just remove the nebula and mute the background to black/dark gray so you can see the true color of the stars. Either option would work really. Of course if you know how to read the stellar system codes you can find the color that way now, but I find it easier to look for the star visually.
NMS and Subnautica are my two favorite games and I've logged a few hours in both; 3,287 in NMS and 2,354 in Subnautica. I'm glad to see you covering this awesome update to a game that just keeps on giving unbelievable new content, absolutely free. I have never gotten so much value from a game that cost me $24. I hope you're going to participate in the Twitch drops; if you do I'll be watching and getting the drops from you. BTW - You'll need Crystallized Helium to build the Atlantid Drive for your freighter.
I really loved Subnautica but once I beat the story, I found it difficult to continue playing. That's a wild amount of hours spent in that game, what did you do?

Subnautica is much better than no mans sky, it’s real exploring, it’s not to casual, in no mans sky you can beat pirates on hardest difficulty without any problem with the starter ship with the starter weapon.
ive mined salt on land a lot and in caves too i love to explore and look on the moons too i am loving these gas giants already the chaos the lightning really makes me happy, who knows whats all the way down there
Turn the filter on in the map screen if you’re having trouble seeing the color of the star, the filter turns all the gas off so you can see a lot better.

You can land on a gas giant? So basically it's just like their normal worlds but added clouds.
I wanted bottomless worlds. Maybe floating bases and you could fly in these planets without your ship etc
But gas giant aren't fully gas. There are some massive ice and rocks floating in them too.
Not to break your bubble but gas planets are indeed highly pressurised liquids that are put under such extreme pressure they become solids. Thus theres no such thing as a "bottomless" planet

it starts out gaseous, becomes liquid, and has a solid core. that's what gas giants are irl. my big complaint here is idk if it's possible to find an ocean gas giant in this update. i hope they add them, if they arent already in the game. i also hope they make the clouds on these worlds more visible and swirling.
@@50zezima yeah but their core is likely at the very least 25 earth masses, I think for a game like no man's a bottomless planet would have been the closest thing to a gas giant, with floating bases being the norm.
I am really bad about deleting all of my saved and starting over, I just did that a couple of weeks ago thinking I had a few months before the big update. Now I am speed running the story mode missions to get to the good stuff

I genuinely am losing my mind trying to unlock this quest. I feel like I've done all the prerequisites I've read on other sites but it won't show up. I am so annoyed.

go to the Anomaly and the stargate, then activate your mission from the mission menu and find the system in the star system where the mission icon is and go there
The requirements is to finish the atlas path and autophage quest.
The autophage quest requires you to go to a harmonic camp, finish the main story and do a trace of metal quest.
Harmonic camps are on dissonant planets.
A trace of metal requires you to have a settlement.
i liked those robots that look like moving buildings came out in worlds 1 but now there is more of those awesome robots and gas giants and so much more to come
Any tips on how a new player can experience all these new features and updates without putting in thousands of hours of playtime

Now I'm not an avid player, i stopped playing maybe right before the companion/animal update. I just started another run-through, but i have never seen a ship like yours, is there a mission to get it like the sentinel or living ships? I saw another unusual looking one like the millennium falcon and since all this stuff is new i can't find a lot of info anywhere.
those giant walking towers remind me of what scientists/doctors/researchers found what an ancient very large looking virus looked like. like a real virus with a body like that and legs.
They seem rare. I found one gas gaint and no water worlds and Im warping a lot

oh this planet brings back memories in 2017 i found a deep blue planet with giant swaying flora some looking like dandelions without the flowers just the greenery and it was like under water it was an indium planet no sentinels either id never thought id see another one almost like it.
If the Construct plays a big part in the mission I wonder what happens if you never did the expedition that resulted in the Construct. I'll need to do a little testing. Thanks for the look at the new systems
how did you get your freighter to come to your planet your on or did you had it already at that system, cause you need an atlantium drive to travel to the purple systems for your ship to travel to them and cannot bring the freighter unless it has that drive.

I would love to get into this game, but every time I load it up I see all that I have to do and get a little overwhelmed .. end up just flying around aimlessly, and then switch to something more familiar.
Play on creative mode and sandbox still can do missions and customize your settings how u like them I use to feel same way the feeling didn't stop for me until like 75 hours now I'm 119 hours and my new problem is some creatures actually terrify me in real life lol like I get scared like they r real or something it's weird

You gotta complete the autophage quests and after that, Use your pulse engine and just wait. You'll know when you get it.

Game is now unstable. Crashes every few minutes. I've completed all missions but I can't access the new worlds. Somehow, I'm missing the 'S" Staff and required scan harmonizer . The autophage synthesis terminal does not offer me the opportunity to make any purchases. I can only unlock a new multitool. Any ideas on how I can access the scan harmonizer?

that is not that deep you see at the start! within the first 24 hours I found a planet COVERED in water. It was so deep it was getting me anxious the further down I went. More warnings than I've ever seen
"BUILDING_GAMESTART" is also the name if the class in unreal. Just a issue with reading the title it was supposed to show to players

The are called gas giants because of their high atmospheric composition of gases like hydrogen, helium, methane, etc.
@ But they form with cores made of rock and metal.
There's a better way to do a gas giant as in if there's deep oceans now...make deep atmospheres that gradually get darker till you reach the core. Make it ultra high gravity etc. not just another planet. Maybe even flotillas outside the atmosphere idk. Still love the game and appreciate the love after all these years.
There is a major bug on sorting . Dont use it til they fix it
Bro I’ve finished main quest line ( I’m in the 2nd galaxy now) I’ve also done as far as I’m aware the autophage quest line as I have the staffs and only missions I have from them are side ones that only get my standing up etc nothing story line at all… an yet I’ve still got no new quest

@@NotPaperium must be a bug, until they patch it only alternative I can think is start a new save but that is a right pain as it’s a long grind to beat the story all over again, I’m literally missing most of this new content

Now we have all main star colors? Red, orange, yellow, blue, purple? If following real life there ZERO green stars ( pesky color green replacing yellow in media😂 is primary color of light RGB but not pigment RYB or printer CYM ) Still wish planets had moons and moons, planets ROTATE on axis and such. I dont care if its " CONFUSING" good grief. Add tools for those who need maximum handholding then. We all learn to play gradually. Or a tutorial on planet+moon rotations on their axis or not ( tidallly locked ) also add actual orbital cycles if possible.

It is rather lame. I get it's a fictional space game but it could be alittle more "relistic". The gas giants here seem just more like venusian planets, planets with super dense atmospheres that are still terrestrial. Kinda like the already stormy planets but with bigger atmospheres and more aggressive.
@@thebanana26 I heard from another comments that the planets are like this because a full gas planet, just crash the engine of the game.
So, if it Is true, maybe someday, with better techs, we can have a full gas planet!
Probably.. it would be a lot for the game to actually handle in real time, but the limits in tech are understandable. It really *is* better than nothing, even if it's not *technically* a gas giant. Its still really cool
I agree 100%. I'm not sure what is so difficult about putting in planets with clouds thick clouds that go for miles. Add storms to it and you have gas giants. They could even make it so that if you go too low, your ship gets destroyed.

You do realize that gas giants do not have solid surfaces. They are made up of swirling gases above a solid core.

The CORE is solid, but it's small compared to the actual atmosphere of a gas giant. Cores of gas giants are like made of some of the most super dense materials ever, where it rains diamonds and the air is like liquid.
Oh.. and it would be pitch black. The atmosphere is so thick it would block any light from the sun on the surface.

You don’t need to start a new save but you do need to completely work through the Artemis, Atlas, and Autophage storylines/quests before you can trigger the steps for the new Purple star system content in Worlds Part 2.
