💚 Congratulations on being a sneak peeker! I’m very proud of your accomplishments with quitting smoking. I’ve quit now for about 25 years and it was the best thing that I ever did. Just take it one day at a time and you will be fine. I wish that I would have had diamond painting back then but I chewed a lot of gum, lol. Sadly my mom smoked most of her life and passed away about 14 years ago from COPD. I miss her every day. She was only 73 and could have had a lot more years of life if it wasn’t for that. My daughter was only 3 years old at the time and doesn’t remember her. You will start seeing the health benefits soon. You’ll be able to smell things better and also taste food better. There’s a lot of things that smoking does to the body that we don’t realize until we don’t smoke anymore and you will start slowly seeing the benefits. I enjoyed your WIP & chat, you seem to talk with ease and a you shouldn’t have any problem growing your channel. A suggestion would be to try to get other creators that have a lot of subs to help support your channel by recommending you and putting a link for your channel in their description or ask to be on one of their livestreams, that will also help boost your subs. This is a great community and a lot of creators won’t mind helping. Good luck and I’ll be looking forward to your next video. 😺
Thank you so much for your kind comments! So far so good with the not smoking and YES! Everything is starting to taste better and smell worse! Especially my dog's gas...🤣 I had to throw basically all my unwashed clothing in the wash because I could smell all the smoke on it and it was making me gag. LOL The little problems. Ha! And thank you for your suggestion! I think that The Principal Painter and I are going to plan an event sometime in the near future, just not sure what yet. 😁 Thank you for the subscribe!
Aww thank you so much for the voice compliments! I am actually no longer doing Diamond Art Club sneak peeks, but you will be seeing Lazy River Crafts and Art and Soul sneak peeks on this channel! :)
New subscriber here! Love your insights. I wanted to say I am not a control freak- I have a hard time making decisions. Dp actually makes me feel like I can be in control in a non threatening environment that is in my personal space. I know the task and know I am capable of it and I get to make decisions ( like what symbol to work on) and I can’t make the wrong one. Past life experiences are also playing in to the mental health for some people. DP helps for all of the reasons you mentioned. ❤
I've accidentaly stumbled onto your channel😱 and boy am I glad to have found you 💚💚 thank you for explaining all the advantages of diamond painting... Will show this to my husband maybe he will understand why I enjoy it so much... Take care 💚💚💚
Congrats on the news! You are definitely enough and I am loving your channel (even though Im supposed to be working instead of watching you tube lol) I am thinking of a quote also - If they don't pay your bills, you dont pay them no mind! As I get older, I care less others opinions.
Ha! Don't get yourself in trouble (unless you work at home, in which case, trouble away! LOL)! I do love some RuPaul's Drag Race so I'll add in the naughty words that go along with your sentiment on my own 😂
My fingers are crossed for you. My new job starts on the 8th on April. I was a CNA, but I find there's lots of people who work in health care that think it's high school. I love taking care of people, but my mental health can't stand the high school feel again. So, I'm starting a Postal Job, where I can be my own person.
Thank you so much! I actually just got out of health care myself (I was the Care Staff Manager at an Assisted Living/Memory Care) and you're absolutely right -- a toxic gossip factory that's just like high school! Right now everything looks like it will be alright for me to start on Monday the 8th but I am just waiting for final word. I think working with kids (and only 40 hours a week instead of 70) will be a nice change! vGood luck on the Postal Job! Sounds like a nice break from the cesspool I know caregiving can be. LOL
@@HouseOfMiscellania It’s such a breath of fresh air knowing that I’m not the only one that knows what goes on in health care. I was constantly being pulled into the office because someone didn’t like how I set a table, or how I washed dishes, or my “attitude” when I defended myself from other care givers that wanted me to do everything, and I mean everything. I worked in a place that was called small house setting. So, there was a lot of times on was on the floor taking care of twelve people in one night, with about ten of them being hoyer lifts, which is illegal in my state. But, yeah, thank you.
@@CNAbudgets1995 Yes I know all of that ALL TOO WELL. And it's a revolving door so you get new attitude every week-- trainees who think they know everything so they refuse to listen and then do everything wrong because of it. Also, for the record, a Hoyer Lift is a two-assist in EVERY state. Your company should not have been allowing you to have to do it on your own but often management in those settings are overworked themselves so the "little" things get overlooked easily. It's all a mess. You're better off moving on as quickly as possible LOL
I'm so proud of you for quitting smoking! I'm on day 50 today! I use a tracker. It took a month to really feel any better. My chest was so sore for a couple of weeks. Just now I'm noticing I'm more sensitive to smells. You got this.
@HouseOfMiscellania yes same. I started smoking in middle school. The only time I didn't smoke was when pregnant. I'm 32 now and just want to feel better. I'm still watching the video and it's a really good one and inspiring me to be brave enough to record mine. Thank you.
@@diamondsandthoughts Isn't it funny how we look back and wish we'd just kept going with something? But think about all the things you learned in between! So you'll come back this time with more life experience and have much more to say! :)
Congratulations! I think we forget or are too stubborn to just ask for help. I really learned this after a summer of injuries that caused terrible pain both old and new and finally I said enough is enough. I went to a chiropractor and one big thing she and I discussed was journaling because she felt a lot of my trauma was really getting to me and I needed an outlet to release it. That helped, but with it I realized how stubborn I had been not going to a doctor or chiropractor earlier to resolve these issues it really took me back. A huge thing she’s indirectly taught me it’s ok to ask for help and reach out. She knows I don’t cry from pain that I’ve got a very big pain threshold so when I came in on an emergency appointment in the office and within minutes I was crying in pain from a small car accident. It turned out I knocked my whole right side out, but she said the best thing I could have done was come in the office immediately to get treated. I had severe pain the next day, but I was able to work through it and saw her that Monday again. All I think about is if I didn’t ask for that help on Thursday how much more pain I would have been in.
I'm so glad that you were able to get the help you needed. I think we get so wrapped up in the shame associated with asking for help that we just don't. No one really knows our struggles if we won't share them; we just have to remember to share them! Much love to you!
@@HouseOfMiscellania oh definitely! I got to my breaking point, but what pushed me was I was sick of pain medicine. Just like I came back from my massage therapist today and we found out why my back has been in pain and I needed major work done on it. It will take two more appointments, but it started slowing down my diamond painting.
@@staceysdiamondpaintingesca8287 I am so glad that you are finding solutions and can keep diamond painting safely and comfortably! I hope the treatments go well and get you back to fighting shape ASAP! 💕
Best. WIPnChat. Ever. Thank you for sharing your insights on the benefits of diamond painting as a way to cope with addictions. I agree with all of it. I'm the Ravenclaw Sagittarius who is one of those flighty go with the flow types and absolutely NOT a control freak. LOL. 92 subs at the time of recording? Best of luck on kicking the nicotine and congrats on getting into the sneaky peaky group. Both of those things are pretty darn huge.
