Differentiating your answer is a great way to check if your integration is correct
Very nice. Is it true that the derivative of u is du? Should you not have said "du/dx"? It confused me a bit.
What about if you have : the integral of x.(1+x)^(1/2) ?? I have du=dx but the x bothers me.

First of the explanation is good for rote learning thus lacks the deep understanding, in the demonstration during first example he bypassed a crucial step he didn't mention When u=x^2 +1 =>The derivative is du/dx=2x then you make dx the subject.I advise you to learn what dy/dx means if you haven't already . Edit (BTW I disliked the video) .................. (>_

you could just take the 4 out the integral and multiple the bottom and top by 2 and that would be just the derivative of √(x²+1) times 4
