The snake/serpent entity is based on an actual enemy from SMB2 (and likely DokiDoki as well) in general design. Dunno if more significance is implied here. Except I think this is the only Mario game that features these snake/serpent dudes

Wish you had seen the email...would have helped you out quite a bit.
Though what I'll mention too, is full version will have a password system allowing for several shortcuts to different parts of the game and some of the difficult parts will also get scaled down a little bit hopefully, the full version will not release until I am sure all these problems are solved so keep that in mind.

I feel like that the Cobrat (the name of the snake enemy I think) is trying to make the main characters and the player suffer for whatever reason like revenge for being forgotten or something else it’s doing in this pirated rom.
That’s my theory tho, but nice video and I think the dev should try to fix the difficulty spike since it looks unbearably hard.

Seeing the HUD, I assume that the dark Cobrat might be some sort of reincarnated Imajin that holds anger for his adventure being replaced outside of Japan.

Maybe its because the Cobrat ( that's how the snake enemies are called ) Doesent' want Mario & Co to be in the Dream World (That's how its called in Doki Doki Panik )( Rather than subcon), wich is inside the story book in the original fds game .I dont' know what else to say.....
