Ooh... Kangaroo leather. Soft and bouncy. Looks awesome!
That red is an eye catcher, but the black kangaroo leather has a look to it. The texture makes it look like a rare edition.

The black Bible is so elegant and I really didn't think it could be topped...UNTIL you opened the red Bible. It's literally stunning. My brain was saying that's just too big...too bright & too bold...but my eyes were bugging out and and I think my heart skipped a beat! I told my brain to shut up. ❤

The NRSV is my favorite one with the kangaroo! I love the red one too but the kangaroo looks amazing and ive never heard of that kinda leather for a bible

Wow. Just wow! That red one is gorgeous. Big raised spine hubs would have improved on perfection (just my opinion of course). I'd love to have something like that done to a NKJV leathersoft Maclaren that I have, but here in the UK it's not as easy to find someone who can rebind like this

I would pick the Red CSB. I had Jeremiah rebind an old 1950s Collins I have and he did an amazing job on it. Highly recommended!

Beautiful rebinds, Tim! I like the Chant look of the CSB. Frost rebound my ESV CREEDS AND CONFESSIONS in that style, and I love it. He recently got in camo calfskin; I'm seriously considering a rebind with that.

I don't have any bibles with Kangeroo leather but I do have a couple baseball gloves made with Kangeroo leather. I've had them for many years and have stood up to lots of usage. My guess is that the Bible Kangeroo leather will stand up to lots of wear as well. Love it!!

I’ve never had a premium bible or rebind, but I like the looks of those and other rebinds that just look like premium bibles that could be sold in stores (bible retailers).

I have at least one Frost in my collection, immaculate attention to detail. It wasn't spoken about, but Frost does really good corner work, as an example.

Love the videos Tim! Question- There are so many bad Bible highlighters/pens videos out there! I have bought, based on your review (it's all your fault!) a Schuyler KJV in Tuscany which is gorgeous! I would love to see you really drill down on the BEST highlighter and pen that will not bleed thru the very thin 28 weight paper in these Bibles. You give such great info on all of the Premium Bibles, but what about the BEST instruments to use ON them?
Many of these reviews out there don't even mention what weight paper they are testing these things on (useless), have poor video quality, etc..
I have an older too small Bible that has the 28 weight paper and I found a blue and a yellow highlighter (not Gel Pens) from Zebra. They are the Zebra Mildliner "Brush" models in pastel. I have only tried the blue and the yellow. They are double ended with a brush on the one end and a pointed tip on the other. I found that if I use the brush side, it will "mark" (not bleed thru) on the other side of the paper. But the sharp tip side does not even mark, which is rare I feel in a true highlighter on these thin pages. I have tested them on multiple pages and no marking or bleed thru on the other side when using the sharp end. Not sure about the other colors available as I have only used these two- the pastel blue and yellow which are quite light, not neon.
Would love to see a lengthy definitive video of your results testing some of the top highlighters/pens to list what you feel would be your TOP picks on very thin 28 weight Bible paper.
I am not nuts about the "gel" pens as many people seem to feel they can leave residue, can smear, can be sticky and can make pages stick together from what I can tell so far. I am sure some gel highlighters may be better than others, but I have not tried any, these are comments from others.
I like Tim Nickels and he put out a video about three months ago on this subject but honestly, I found it very confusing and it was using only one brand, Mr. Pen! Not much of a comparison unfortunately.
Hope you might be able to do a video on this to really drill down on it! Don't want to ruin my beautiful premium Bible that I bought on your recommendation and review!!!

Interesting note: Kangaroo leather is ranked as the most durable leather, even more durable than goatskin.

This has me thinking about trying to get my NRSV thin line rebinded. It not premium or wide margin but it's marked up like mad.
I had wondered what happened to the review of the CSB Thinline. I have that Bible and like most I feel it’s a good Bible but not as great as it could be. My biggest complaint is the ribbons. I’m thinking of changing them. I would love to have Frost rebind my csb LP Thinline. Maybe I can save up for that. I don’t think I’ll have it done in red thought. 😂
The NRSV. I have never even held a red bible and I do not like the looks. Holding one my change my opinion, but for now it is the NRSV.
Question: Does the first page after the cover have a special name? I noticed some of the rebinds have a piece of paper and others do another piece of leather... I'm looking to rebind my Bible and just want to know what to ask/look for with the additional leather rather than that first page being a piece of paper.
