While I disagree with your review, I think your reviews are insanely in-depth and I will be following this channel and searching for any beer I drink to watch along!
This is why I love beer and treat it as a personal like/dislike thing .... I'm not wrong, at least for my taste. I can appreciate when people like different taste's (off flavors and badly made beer is a different story) so I appreciate the objectivity.
It’s funny in all the reviews of NB beer, no one ever talks about the malt, to be is so apparent, blind folded, one slip, I know it is a NB beer, you are correct in your review, this is a beer and brewery for the masses, at one time they were on the cutting edge of the craft beer movement, now they are playing it safe, for me the brewery that is knocking out of the park is “ Revision” also because I live in NV, I am able to get all their beers and super fresh, so I really do not get any of the “ Real” NE beers, expect for Sam Adams, which are quite good, Wicked Haze, I truly enjoy West Coast IPA’s I love dank dirty hops, that is why I enjoy Revision beers so much, that combine the best of the style of NE and West coast
Thanks for reviewing this. I've never had any NEIPA from Trillium, TH or EQ, so just wondered how this compared to them. As I suspected, it's not in the same ballpark.
Yeah, not something I'll buy again. And to tell you the truth, I most likely wouldn't care for any NEIPA from any of the big 3 if they're sweet like this one was. I'm gonna send you one from New Trails, which is old school West Coast IPA. Kinda what I like, grapefruit and blow the fucking hair back on your head with IBU's.
Massive Beer Reviews in my local Harris Teeter, we have Sixers of regular voodoo ranger, imperial voodoo ranger and the juicy haze. We don't have any cans from New Belgium. I'm in NC
I enjoyed this and the price makes it super attractive. I've also found that it is a nice intro to the hazy stuff for some of my "old school" hop heads who balk at paying $18 for a 4pk.
Massive Beer Reviews, it does lack the bitterness but if they want to try a new IPA it is easier for me to sell them a 10.99 4pk than something from SingleCut that costs $18-21 a 4pk.
I think it's good for a somewhat mass produced/readily available NEIPA, but nothing ground breaking. May be a good intro for some that are new to the style.
I live in Colorado and new Belgium is one of our top breweries in the state💯🍺 no one has better BREWERIES THEN THE STATE OF COLORADO there are some breweries on the side that I choose over new Belgium as far as when I go for stouts and porters but they kick ass with ranger, citradellic, far tire! They’re very successful so my opinion that’s one of their best IPAS💯🖕

Everyone seems to want to copy Tree House...a sign they are out selling everyone... with zero distribution. Living local to Tree House lines are still long and most cart away one to five cases of their brews. I've made the mistake of trying to get something similar at Yankee Spirit to avoid the lines... nothing lives up to a Tree House made fresh and used the first week it's canned.
If Tree House ever goes distribution the beer will never be the same. It's made to be drunk fresh and kept cold. I often see license plates from all over the eastern seaboard making the pilgrimage to Charton MA. The new Plant is only minutes from the intersection of rt 84 and 90(mass pike) making it an easy ride.. Even Hollywood has found Tree House... a few stars have mules who fly out in their private jets and bring home a few cases a week. Many workers of local business get a day off from reg jobs to mule for the top bosses. You meet some very different characters in line... from little old ladies, wanting to see what all the fuss is about, to wives dressed to the nines behind baby strollers buying beer for their Wall Street hubbies... Every week at 11 AM the Jersey Boys sit in the lower lot waiting to be first in line to haul away four full allotments in their Expedition and some say they sell it in Jersey for twice the retail price...
I think a lot of breweries do beers just as nice, albeit different, than Tree House ... the key being different. So many people try to duplicate what TH does, and those are the ones that fail. The ones that take inspiration from TH but make their own beer are the ones who make the good stuff ..... inspired innovators win, duplicators lose!
See, I found this to be quite similar to the limited offerings i had from Bearded Iris .... haven't had a ton, but they had the similar "emptiness" this and that SA beer had.
Massive Beer Reviews I've had a fair amount of both Scatterbrain and Offbeat and they both have more "soul" than Voodoo hands (imo). More tasteful and long lasting punch. Can't imagine how awesome Grimm and Trillium products are!
IPAness would make a great beer name for a place that makes beer with childish beer names ;) . Nice review, I always wanted to try the red IPA version of the voodoo ranger but never found it. On a side note if you're ever in Ft. Collins they give an awesome tour of the brewery, the best I've ever been on.
My favorite not yet used super hopped beer name would be a cab with a drawing of George Costanza in a hospital bed with tubes hanging out of his nose freaking out, the title: "IS IT LUPULIN!"
not offensive but i was surprised at how muted it is and honestly how indistinctive. even the middlin' local options in NW NJ are better for the price.
Flavor brings hints of orange peel. Lacks bitterness. Bland as far as IPA’s go. Spot on review!

Not the same ballpark but the same sport ... kind of like AAA ball, still fun to attend every now and then!
Yeah, not something I'll buy again. And to tell you the truth, I most likely wouldn't care for any NEIPA from any of the big 3 if they're sweet like this one was. It was better than I expected but nothing too special. A 6 pack for $8.99, I couldn't complain. Definitely one you'd bring to a cookout/party to share
100% my thoughts exactly, however I'd buy it again completely based on convenience.
They put this is sixers and bottles ... thought that was just the base Voodoo Ranger?
Massive Beer Reviews in my local Harris Teeter, we have Sixers of regular voodoo ranger, imperial voodoo ranger and the juicy haze. We don't have any cans from New Belgium. I'm in NC
Update.. The 6 packs went up to $12
We are posting this same review tonight @6 love the way you described it! Cheers Matt 👍
Werd, I'll have to check it out!
Tried this last summer and liked it, just bought another 6-pack yesterday. Not something I'd buy every weekend though but still pretty good
It's not a bad beer, just lacking ... at least for me.
Love this brew only 🍺 from this company that i enjoyed
It was one of the better beers from NB, but that's not saying much ...
I enjoyed this and the price makes it super attractive. I've also found that it is a nice intro to the hazy stuff for some of my "old school" hop heads who balk at paying $18 for a 4pk.
See, I would think the "OG" hop heads wouldn't dig it as most of them love bitterness which this almost entirely lacked.
Massive Beer Reviews, it does lack the bitterness but if they want to try a new IPA it is easier for me to sell them a 10.99 4pk than something from SingleCut that costs $18-21 a 4pk.
True that!
Was thinking about picking this one up...because the price is really good. As always nice review. Cheers!
It's a fine beer, just don't expect next level shit!
Massive Beer Reviews gotcha! Cheers!
$9 a 6pk at Target, it's a good go-to if you don't want to want to drop $15-$20. It's basically the Bud of NE IPAs
Price point sounds just about right ... half the cost for half the amount of beer.
As someone who can’t get the legit NEIPAs, I will happily buy these beers for $9-$10 for a 6 pack.
.... and I totally get that for sure.
@@massivebeers I'd kill for a can of anything Tree House or Trillium.
Playing it safe for a larger selling point
Sounds about right!
I think it's good for a somewhat mass produced/readily available NEIPA, but nothing ground breaking. May be a good intro for some that are new to the style.
Yeah, it wasn't a bad beer, just lacking anything noteworthy, at least the typical stuff that wow's me about hazies

Really wish we could get some Tree House down here in Maryland. Cheers!

Spot on Matt. It's soulless.. I'm drinking as I write. Flavor and punch goes away quickly.. I'd rather stick with Bearded Iris products in my area
See, I found this to be quite similar to the limited offerings i had from Bearded Iris .... haven't had a ton, but they had the similar "emptiness" this and that SA beer had.

I think the one that Sam Adams did had more flavor and was a better buy.
Kind of a toss up, both left me wanting.
Have you ever reviewed any Beer from Beer’d brewery out here in Connecticut....one of my top Beer’s to drink
Nope, never had anything by them.
What up Man. Voo Doo is a pretty tasty beverage. I like your style and i just subbed to your channel. Cheers bro.
Thanks homie!
dude where's your location at? looks nice hills etc. should do a video in all 4 seasons in the backdrop...cheers
I feel like a lot of the new Belgium beers are just alright to me. They aren't as hoppy.
They aren't bad beers, just tend to come off a bit on the "safe" side of flavor for the lack of a better term.
If you want bitter, try the Voodoo Ranger Imperial IPA. Straight up bitter! Nothing but hops and not much of anything else.
not offensive but i was surprised at how muted it is and honestly how indistinctive. even the middlin' local options in NW NJ are better for the price.
Spot on .... not bad at all, just very generic.
Beer review 1462, the year Columbus drank the ocean blue.
Jk, but I thought this beer was decent. Not a bad price either.
It wasn't bad .... just uninspiring and middle of the road.
1492 bro.
its not offensive, but I'll never buy it again. it had zero flavor
Yeah, just missing a soul if you will.
Cant please some people I guess
It’s ok for the price but your right it lacks something...nothing special...it’s one of those beers that if that’s all their is to drink it’s not bad
Yeah, middle of that hazy road for sure.
