Camping on a walk-in site can be daunting especially if you're not sure what to expect. For the third episode of our camping series in British Columbia Canada, we decided to camp in a walk-in site for the first time. In today's Canada travel vlog, we'll show you what it's like to camp at one of BC's most popular family-friendly camping destinations, Alice Lake Provincial Park Campground located in Squamish BC.
Alice Lake is surrounded by mountain ranges and dense forests which makes it perfect for camping. Alice Lake Provincial Park is a popular camping area north of Squamish. It's 1 hour away from Vancouver BC with 108 reservable campsites on site, 55 of which have electrical hook-ups. Facilities also include two shower rooms and washroom buildings, day-use picnic tables, an amphitheater, a bike park, and a playground.
The idea of a walk-in campsite is you "walk-in to the site" with all your camping gear and fortunately, our walk-in site is just 10 steps away from the parking lot which makes it very convenient to carry all our gear from the car to our campsite. The walk-in campsite includes your own picnic table, a fire pit, and a good walking distance from the washroom facilities.
Camping at Alice Lake Campground is a family-friendly campground great for the whole family with a variety of activities to choose from including hiking, mountain biking, swimming, and so much more. Canoe, kayak, pedal boat, and stand-up paddleboard rentals are available at the beach. The trail around Alice Lake is a popular one and if you're feeling more adventurous there is the Four Lakes Trail. There are excellent views of the Squamish River and the Tantalus Range from the DeBeck’s Hill Trail too. The day-use area includes three picnic areas, each located by sandy beaches with access to the lake. There are four freshwater lakes that dominate the landscape and make swimming and fishing very enjoyable.

Thanks for watching Amy!❤️ We’d love to have more premieres but we aren’t certain if we’d get internet service😅 maybe one of these days we’ll do one again😊❤️
@@NatandMax That makes sense! The premieres are fun. Pretty sure they are the most social event I've been to all pandemic 😂
Sad to say but same for us😂
your videos are amazing, keep doing the great stuff.
Thanks for watching Yashpreet!✨ Hope we got you to subscribe😊❤️
@@NatandMax already subscribed a long time ago.
Thanks for always supporting us😊 Theres a new video this weekend✨
Your video is adorable! People done you dirty by telling you that the higher off the ground you are, the warmer you are. Lots of air between you and the ground, if the air is cold, means cold sleeping. Check the "R rating" on mattresses, and that will tell you how warm you'll be ❤️
Great advice! Thank you 🙏 we’ll keep on a lookout for that R rating next time we look for camping mattresses😊❤️
late to the comment section but I recommend you guys buy packs of hot hands off of amazon. They're heat packs that you can start yourself and put in your bed before going to bed. I've been doing that camping this year and it has kept me very warm! Sometimes very hot. I only have sleeping bags from walmart and my own blankets. Also Alice lake is my fav campground! Glad you had fun there :D
That's a great idea! We haven't thought of that 😅 We'll be doing that from now on, thanks for the tip!
Lovely video! Lovely weekend!
Thanks Juliana!❤️❤️❤️
love the video max and nat. ❤️
Thanks Miko!😊❤️
Hey Guys
I just love your videos. I am too a nature lover and I love to hike and camp around beautiful BC. Watching your video has inspired me to create hiking and camping videos as well. Hopefully some day my video quality will be as good as yours. Cheers!!
Thats awesome! Perfect for the upcoming summer season☀️ Don’t worry about it too much, quality will come😊 We certainly just try to improve our vlog over time with practice. Goodluck!❤️
aewsome view of the lake,😍😍😍 i missed bc, beautiful lakes and the gigantic trees..
try camping in canada national parks, free firewood😎
Thanks for the suggestion😊 we've yet to book one. Our options are a little limited due to the travel ban. Maybe sometime in the summer😊
Amazing
Thank you!😊❤️
Guys you're not Camping..definetely GLAMPING ❤👍🙂
Haha you could be right!😅
Some sleeping bags can join together as a double size. That's if you don't mind being snug together XD
Haha that would probably be awesome. One downside we found on our sleeping bags right now is its too slippery😂 it slides off the mattress! I mean we’ll still slide with a double sleeping bag, but we’ll slide together😂
please listout the camping gears u used in this Video. planning for my 1st camping in coming weeks, need alot of guidance,
Do you like your tent? Do you recommend it?
Yes! It’s super easy to set up and pack away🙌 Also it being black blocks the sunlight a bit better than other colors 😊 Totally recommend it
Hi, what exact month and dates you camp here in Alice Lake? My husband and I are planning to camp here as well in Spring. Hoping for your response! Thank you!
Hi there! I can’t recall the exact dates but it was around spring time as well. Maybe around April time🙂
Where did you guys get the string lights?😁
We got them from Amazon🙂 www.amazon.ca/shop/natandmax/list/3JYM8ANM8ZTEP
For how many person is the tent? :)
