That was freakin awesome!! What a way to end a European Tour!! My favorite band on this planet, been an awesome 2022 tour so far. Pearl Jam going home to see their families and get plenty of rest and then Canada and New York!! Hopefully Eddie's vocals will be well rested, love you Pearl Jam you freakin ROCK!! Thank you for sharing this awesome video 😊💓🤘✌️
Although it was reported that it was one of his custom fender 1960s you can clearly see here that it is not - missing all the scratches of his custom signature or original. Now, reassembled this one could become a classic! :-)
@@survivealiveofficial4056 maybe, but Mike would have just smashed it on the stage then, not on the amplifiers and with that much force that the body had split on hit #5.
But, when Mike returns, you notice that he has no sound coming from his amplifiers, right? That tells me that he didn’t just leave to switch to a smasher guitar.
For some reason this makes me feel uncomfortable, it just doesn´t look genuine to me. When I see Nirvana destroying things looks like a ritual, not part of a number.
You could donate them to charity. You could give them away to talented kids. You could sell them and let others create with them. You could keep them and use them again. I fail to see what’s cool about this in any way. I didn’t care for it when Townsend or Hendrix did it either. Nuff said.
The guy has literally shit himself mid solo and didnt stop shredding, he can celebrate the end of a tour that had constant challenges with covid and smoke throat injuries lol
@@freddyhamel9921 there ain't no sound coming from a guitar as it's being broken into pieces. And if there is, it ain't an amazing sound. Can tell you this from experience.
Ive got this squier mustang, that is all i can afford in these hard times. Turns out the neck is not exactly straight. Bottom three are like 5 clicks high on a snark. I cant get the strings to go any lower than they are so i am stuck with semi high action. The guitar is fighitng me the whole way and i am having to learn on this thing. Most of the time i put those thoughts to the side and say to myself that you are learning so it does not matter. One day you will get a proper guitar. And then i see people smashing up nice guitars for "artistic" reasons. Why dont you auction that damn thing off and give the proceeds to a school?
@@georgeprice4212 I do know that. But i am no longer a guitarist. I play the drums now and am loving it way more than ever. Drumming is cool. The coordination required is hard to get hold of at first but once you can move all 4 limbs independently it starts gettign really cool.

He relic'd the shit out of that thing.
When violence and stupidity meet
Tell that to The Who
Yeah, that was 50 years ago. Now its just stupid. That guy is a tool.
I want everything that's broken!! For real, there's still good parts to all that stuff.
I bet he pulled some muscles doing that and couldn't get out of the bed the next morning!

The way he started attacking the amplifiers makes me think there was equipment failure towards the end there.
He left stage to swap guitars.
@@survivealiveofficial4056 maybe, but Mike would have just smashed it on the stage then, not on the amplifiers and with that much force that the body had split on hit #5.
midlife tantrums? amazing what prozac can do
Pause at 3:10 you can see him walk off stage and change his guitar.
But, when Mike returns, you notice that he has no sound coming from his amplifiers, right? That tells me that he didn’t just leave to switch to a smasher guitar.
Imagine him giving the guitar to that kid instead.
This is so dumb for so many reasons...

He could auction off the pieces for charity and probably make more money than if it was whole.
I know it looks a little dumb and decadent but doing this kind of stuff feels and sounds amazing.
It’s his right to smash his own guitar, he earned it playing his ass off the last thirty years

They have some goooood cocaine in Amsterdam. See that guy walking hundreds of circles per show. 😂
With Josh Klinghoffer!!
5:30 torture for guitar nerds out there 🤣
Unless you’re a fan of The Who, Jimi Hendrix or Nirvana….
Is eddie vedder on vocals?
I hope that wasn't his original 60 strat 😬
Not only did he make a victim out of his Sunburst Strat, but he also destroyed his guitar amp and pedalboard in the process: US$ 15.000
@@euluccitorres well, the amplifier head. Everyone knows that, unless you happen to be Pete Townshend, Marshall cabinets are pretty sturdy.

No

Get a proper setup from a decent luthier and make sure you are using the right gauge strings for it. There ain't nothing wrong with a Squier
I got a Squier Jazz bass for under 250 new and it rocks just as good as any other 1500 Fender
