You can do deadlifts on the Smith machines, just move the bench and bring the bar down. The lunk alarm is stupid, but most places never use them unless you're trying to set it off. The quality of the experience can really depend on the location and the time you go, the ratio of machines is not always great, but if you go at a time that is very quiet, you don't have to worry to much about that(and the app has a built in crowd meter to tell you how busy your home gym is). All in all it serves me well

Get outta there, those smith machines will fuck your shoulders up. Please do not do presses of any kind in a Smith machine if you value your shoulders whatsoever. I say this with love.
It’s a product of a left leaning society. All life becomes equally trifle and the only people who are catered to are the lowest performing in society. Catering to the weak is what is thought of as “progressive” or “liberal”. So in theory, everyone is treated equally, but in reality everyone is treated the same as the vindictive, obese, nerds with BPD. Obviously healthy, fit, happy individuals do not spend their time concerned with losers and their performance, or lack there of. The “judgement” people feel at gyms is a projection of their own shortcomings. In reality nobody is concerned with you, in your head everyone is watching. It’s called being self conscious and it used to be a way people motivated themselves, now they just blame everyone else. Blaming others is the standard now, especially amongst the uneducated, unmotivated, and hypnotized youth.
I had a staff member pull the lunk alarm on me when I was "breathing heavy" after trying to push for a higher bench press on their terrible smith machines. There were a grand total of 2 others in the gym because it was very late and they were nowhere near me. I even asked the staff "Did anybody complain?" And he said no, nobody ever complained but then accused me of playing music too loud on my EARBUDS and that I always lift too heavy. I shit you not. Canceled my membership on the spot and went to a far better gym. No complaints ever since.
the cardio equipment at PF is top notch. If i am only doing cardio on any day, i will go there and get it in. I use my other gym for the weights and boxing equipment. PF serves its purpose.
I love the hypocrisy of the Lunk alarm. “A person who grunts slams weights or judges” But the exact example they used was them judging a Lunk for wearing a bodybuilding tank top and having a gallon water jug… Ironically the gym that is supposed to be a judgement free zone has more judgement than other traditional gyms

I love it! After having a humiliating experience at a gym that catered more to the already-fit-taking-it-next-level crowd, I avoided gyms completely for years. It’s nice to go into one and see a variety of people and levels all doing their own thing, the facilities are always immaculate, and the staff friendly and helpful. I get that it’s not for everyone but very grateful it’s available for me.
My PF has had a bunch of seniors since January and I think it's fantastic the generation before the fitness boom of the 80s is interested in gyms. I am still intimidated by the free weight section of my gym because it is always full but the machines do alright and I get in and get out. Everyone minds their own business at mine.

Planet fitness is legit, you can get serious results. It’s all about consistency, doesn’t matter where you train Golds, 24 hour, La fitness, the park. Only with dedication you get results.
I lost 50 pounds going to planet fitness. Lol, a gym is a gym. It doesn't matter what the name is or where it is located.
You can get serious results as a beginner, if you bring your own intensity. The equipment limitations at Planet Fitness are real, though.
@@steelmongoose4956 idk there are a few big regulars that go to my PF. But then again you are right about the equipment limitations...One of those big guys basically takes all the 45s in the gym when he does legs. Everyome else is stuck with the smaller weights till he is done. lol

Planet fitness isn’t really built for a bunch of super fit people, it’s more meant for fat people like me, who are super super anxious about going to the gym. Even at planet fitness I prefer to go at midnight when it’s empty because anxiety is a bitch

Planet fitness has been great for me! They are literally EVERYWHERE so it's been really convenient. As a trucker who wants to stay fit and hygienic the parking lots are usually big enough for me to park, go in and get a good workout and shower and if going during a slow time and can usually stay in their parking lots for my 10 hr break. The reason why it sucks
- Says it is a Judgement Free Zone
- Judges whoever they hate, or slightly dislike
Sounds like a leftist
You sound like 🐈

I had a staff member pull the lunk alarm on me when I was "breathing heavy" after trying to push for a higher bench press on their terrible smith machines. There were a grand total of 2 others in the gym because it was very late and they were nowhere near me.

I’ve honestly never heard the lunk alarm 🚨 go off
the cardio equipment at PF is top notch. If i am only doing cardio on any day, i will go there and get it in. I use my other gym for the weights and boxing equipment. PF serves its purpose.
I love the hypocrisy of the Lunk alarm. “A person who grunts slams weights or judges”
