Just got the notification when the 1st half of my soccer game ended. I have 15 minutes to watch this in peace before going back to scream at the TV again.. thanks!
I rebound my DPI switch to Play/Pause for media since I usually watch videos while gaming and it's nice to have that at my fingertips rather than having to move my hands. I use it so much that I don't think I can switch to a G Pro X Superlight because of it. Also, I'd love to see more members of the studio reviewing new tech in areas they're interested in!
love the new content and the review from Andrew ! would love to see more studio members do their own product reviews or standalone videos in the future
When it comes to the DPI button, I usually rebind it to another in-game action. Usually for actions that require aiming, that way I can still keep my fingers on WASD to strafe.
Loved the gaming content, would be nice to see more of that in The Studio channel or even maybe in a future a gaming focused channel in the MKBHD “family” of channels, loved it!
I have a Viper Mini, so I'm glad somebody covered this. I use my DPI button as an ESC key, it's useful for quickly opening pause menus and closing popups in games without having to move my left hand. Good job on the video Andrew, you had a lot of valuable things to say 💛
Yeah I was just about to comment that when I used mice that did have a DPI button on top, I remapped them to something more useful and it was a nice thing to have. Imo it’s better for the DPI button to be on top just so that you have the option to remap it and actually actively use it
I love the main Marques Brownlee channel and everything you guys put out on all of your channels, but this kind of review content is what I’d love to see more of. Not just gaming-specific stuff (although this was a very nice surprise!), but just good ‘old-fashioned’ tech reviews. You guys at The Studio probably encounter more tech products than anyone alive, and it’d be nice to see a wider variety of products come under the microscope and make it into your videos.
New channel coming up? The AMHD gaming tech reviews 🙌 Loved seeing an Andrew only video. I'm not a huge gamer but I love seeing some videos on the crew's interests ❤️ cinematic shots are definitely MKBHD worthy 🙌
I daily drive the Model D Wireless, and I appreciate that the DPI button is on the top. I personally like switching from low sensitivity to high sensitivity when transitioning from a game to casually browsing.
I use my dpi switches constantly. One for general work stuff which I also use for things like league etc. The other is super low for fps games like warzone or csgo and the last is really high which I use for rocket league (or any game where speed of turning is more important than click aim etc)
Cannot express how happy I am after seeing this overview. I am not a gamer but still on a journey of looking for a perfect office mouse. After collecting like a bucket of different mice, now on MX Vertical - highly recommended.
There are times when I am in game and I am looting, it's easier to bump my DPI up on the fly to move quick through a menu and then bump it down to my aiming DPI. Also, if I'm dead, Alt+Tab, higher browsing DPI. Personal preference! Great review.
About the top DPI button, I do use it in games, but usually for small parts only, like in GTA online where there's a vehicle that have a very low sensitivity when controlling its turret. Since the game doesn't allow me to change the sensitivity only for that specific vehicle, I just increase the DPI, do what I need, then go back to my main one.
I always re-bind the top DPI button to something else, usually it is a "Alt + `" hotkey so I could use it to enable/disable my microphone in Discord. Super-handy, and no, using side buttons is worse, because I might want to mute my mic not only when I am playing the game, but also when I am browsing the web, so side-buttons would trigger unwanted actions.
I just want to comment on the aspect ratio. It’s soo good, watching this on my iPhone 14 pro and not seeing the pill slightly cut into the edge of the video is so good.
Honestly would love Andrew making vids on this channel more! I think him and Marques have enough of a difference in interests to bring a different perspective, along with it freeing Marques to put more focus into the main channel
Razer has said they're planning on releasing a viper mini wireless not signature edition at some point in the future i believe later this year but i don't remember off the top of my head that will be more in line with the viper v2 pro and the deathadder v3 pro spec and price wise which i'm excited for
I've never seen somebody change their DPI often. I like the DPI change button because I have bound it to play/ pause media, it'd very convenient to use it because you don't have to open the app and then slide to the pause button you can just hit the button and you're good to go.
New type of vid and I'm loving it! I would still prefer the usual type of video cause it gives more of an in-depth view on the Studio creative process but honestly, would love some gaming content.
I'm the type of person who often switches DPI on the fly. I often use this feature when switching apps. I use 800 DPI for Lightroom or Resolve, 1200 DPI for everything else, and 20000 DPI for trolling purposes. While not having a dedicated DPI switch isn't a deal breaker for me, it added to the many things that made me not interested in the Viper Mini Signature.
Just bought a corsair dark core rgb pro se. Love it and recommend it for anyone looking for a low latency, wireless+wired+Bluetooth RGB programable ergonomic mouse. Got it for 97€ in Amazon Spain.
This felt like an MKBHD video but not at the same time and in all the best ways possible. I like the familiarity vibes that the signoff brings (Peace) but it's someone else who's an "expert" at what they do. Like they know their stuff. Anyway great video!
The DPI button on top is amazing when reprogrammed. I use a Razer mouse and i've had the dpi button reprogrammed to quick saving in-game and refresh in-browser. It's a game changer
Dpi switching is useful in games like battlefield where the accreditation multiplier on tanks or turrets for example, is much lower than standard so being able to increase it is helpful to quickly rotate around.
Sometimes I change DPI in game depending on the fight scenario. I play Apex and there's a big difference between shooting while behind cover and shooting while running around in front of someone, both of which happen often. I also have a sniper button on my mouse but I don't use it as often since it slows the dpi dramatically.
For that price I'll just stick with my G903, it has buttons for switching dpi on top which I do use often. When you want a difference in sensitivity for weapons like snipers vs other weapons its good for that.
It would be nice to see smaller reviews on anything tech you guys at the studio like, either for personal use or for work. Kinda like a more relaxed "LTT short circuit" vibe.
I would definitely have to stop keeping a water bottle or any sort of liquid / food related stuff nearby this mouse because of the holes, but it does look beautiful!
Is that a TGR Jane I see in the background of the soundtest? Between this and the keycult in the typing contest, I'd love to see a video introducing people to the world of custom keyboards by showing off what you have at the studio!
I love this video, I'd love to see more gaming related content from Andrew. Those valo clips of him just popping off in Deathmatch and in the practice range with Jett's knives were so satisfying to watch. That's some cracked aim. also that OSRS ending is awesome 😂
7:50 No idea why Razer doesn't try and make their Basilisk Pro line more lightweight. The V3 Pro is actually heavier than the Ultimate, which is a damn shame, because it's the perfect mouse imo
I could dig this channel becoming the "LTT" style with everyone from the studio being their own host for reviews!
doesn't it sound more like ShortCircuit?
@@kloyt I was just coming down to comment this feels like a ShortCircuit video
Yep I get what you mean, it’s the sorta review vlogging
@@kloyttrue true
I support this haha
Can gaming reviews with Andrew become a regular thing??? Loved the vid
I wish! I loved it too
I love him
The lighting on this video (especially where Andrew is talking) was absolutely mesmerizing. Well done
Absolutely loved seeing the review from Andrew and would love to see more review from all the Studio members!!
But only on studio channel and marques on main channel for phones and laptops
Just got the notification when the 1st half of my soccer game ended. I have 15 minutes to watch this in peace before going back to scream at the TV again.. thanks!
Watch on 2x speed
2-0 Arsenal

@@adamalilou I am a United fan 😁

This could be the best review for this mouse. I am here for the shots and this is awesome. We love to see more solo videos of the team.
I rebound my DPI switch to Play/Pause for media since I usually watch videos while gaming and it's nice to have that at my fingertips rather than having to move my hands. I use it so much that I don't think I can switch to a G Pro X Superlight because of it.

I rebound the DPI button to WindowsKey+Tab. You would be surprised at the increase in productivity from not having to Alt+Tab at all.
i used to use it for alt tab but then i had to lose that habit to switch to g pro wireless
love the new content and the review from Andrew ! would love to see more studio members do their own product reviews or standalone videos in the future
This is a pretty cool channel. MKBHD should give this channel a shout out more often.
Like the different style of content here! As a huge channel fan it's nice to see another hobby of mine being featured. More of this please!
The Jane in the background makes some of these shots absolutely beautiful!
Killer job, Andrew and Studio team. Keep it up.
the way andrew talks exactly like marques lmao, down to the pauses and the voice inflection
We need more gaming content from Andrew plssss maybe even a gaming setup tour👀
100% behind more gaming content with Andrew!
"use till i blame my aim on it" 😂😂😂
When it comes to the DPI button, I usually rebind it to another in-game action. Usually for actions that require aiming, that way I can still keep my fingers on WASD to strafe.
Loved the gaming content, would be nice to see more of that in The Studio channel or even maybe in a future a gaming focused channel in the MKBHD “family” of channels, loved it!
Finally! We need more Andrew, gaming, and gaming peripheral videos!!
The script of the video is sooo good.
Keep at it Andrew 💪
Love seeing you use a $300 gaming mouse to play RuneScape at the end of the video
I have a Viper Mini, so I'm glad somebody covered this. I use my DPI button as an ESC key, it's useful for quickly opening pause menus and closing popups in games without having to move my left hand. Good job on the video Andrew, you had a lot of valuable things to say 💛

Those deathmatch plays were crisp
I actually like this format. It's like having an alternate marques lol
10/10 to Andrew for hosting!! Would love more of that.

Please more solo videos of the team, that review killed it.
Just here to say I love the content this channel puts out :)
I think this channel is walking in the right way , great review andrew ✌️
I never comment on videos - love MKBHD and your Podcast, but this is just great Studio content - more from all at the studio !!!! Great review Andrew
7:54 did anyone else hear the click while he said “right click”? WHAT A LOVE FOR DETAIL I LOVE IT
holy cow studio video with mkbhd vibes, i love it. more of these please and maybe with every person out there.
New channel coming up? The AMHD gaming tech reviews 🙌 Loved seeing an Andrew only video. I'm not a huge gamer but I love seeing some videos on the crew's interests ❤️ cinematic shots are definitely MKBHD worthy 🙌
I think for me, the best part of the Studio is the Studio Team. I'd love to see reviews from some people sometimes, but keep the whole team involved!
while rezzing with mercy in overwatch, you can switch to super high dpi and spin like a beyblade making it very hard for the enemy to headshot you
Thank you for this tip. Now I wish I had the quick switch.
@@Manganellia1 it's quiet funny to watch haha
My man Andrew! Much love brother.
I daily drive the Model D Wireless, and I appreciate that the DPI button is on the top. I personally like switching from low sensitivity to high sensitivity when transitioning from a game to casually browsing.

First time to see a "new" face doing a review. Good job! 👍🏽
Cannot express how happy I am after seeing this overview. I am not a gamer but still on a journey of looking for a perfect office mouse. After collecting like a bucket of different mice, now on MX Vertical - highly recommended.
the dpi button serves a purpose in remapping it and using it as an extra hotkey, in some games every hotkey you can easily reach is much appreciated
A great review Andrew .. Looking forward for more gaming related stuff and more keyboard reviews from you
I'd loved to see more reviews from other people in the team

i had no idea andrew was so cracked at valorant
Andrew, I loved this review, on par with the quality we expect within the Marques Cinematic Universe. Keep doing these!
Andrew is really confident and comfortable in front of the camera...good job, keep it up!
I am not someone who is usually into the standard Studio videos, but I loved this. More of this!!
Two things I love: firstly, the mouse, must be awesome to feel it in your hand, secondly, the beautiful sun shining on the background!
I’d love to see more of the whole team reviewing tech they are into, like you with gaming tech and David with cameras etc
@5:40 if you are asking why… then you don’t need the button on top, just like the Magic Mouse and charging port that is underneath.
keep them coming, also climbing gear, climbing trips etc! looking for that crispy rock content Andrew! :)
Love this!!! Andrew did an amazing job, would love to see this become a regular job 🔥
Great review! Andrew is an awesome host. I’d love to see more videos like this from other studio members. Maybe film cameras with David?
I loved getting a 100% Andrew video! Very well done - and I appreciate getting some gaming content. Bring on more!!
Switching DPI in-game can be helpful in niche situations such as specific abilities or longer range shooting/sniping etc
Mod Ash on Waveform when? 👀
4:17 casually flexes a TGR jane in the background of the clip without mentioning it ahahah

Playing osrs with a $280 mouse, that killed me 😂

Loving the solo Andrew video 👌🏽 perfect for the official office gamer, you did amazing buddy 😉
This deserves more views considering the amount of work that went into this video

6:01 I use a DPI switch so I can make more accurate adjustments when taking screenshots or when drawing. Nice and easy way to thread the needle.
i reprogrammed my dpi to ‘g’ to throw some quick grenade in apex legends
Definitely wanna see more gaming related content on this Studio.
i like this shortcircuit/ltt style video, where people in the studio host videos/reviews
I get enough random splashes or dust on my mouse that I'd worry about it being open like this
