- I found ANOTHER new building trick in Palworld after the most recent big update, version 2.0.6. Imma show you how to do it and some variations that you can use!

This is just a little tip for those using this trick in base building. If a roof/etc has "Not enough support," Then anything you place on its edges will break once you create things like a new roof or, just about anything. I learned this the hard way with chests, benches and ranches suddenly breaking. Just something i didn't know until a while, so careful with big gaps between foundations.
Anyhow nice video! it's nice to find another way of doing the trick and making even more cool stuff with it
True! Sometimes it doesn't but more often than not it would. I've also noticed that sometimes if you have too many decorations queued up but not built they will start breaking even tho they arent built lol
@@priqe True! I learned this while trying to queue the stacked farms and some would start breaking (inlcuding ones already built). I heard someone say that apprently the limit is 10 but don't quote me on that, somtimes it felt like thinkgs a started breaking sooner
Just dropping a comment to say that thanks to this trick, I was finally able to do what I've always wanted to with one of my bases, having a building that sits on 2 different elevations. Huge thanks for the video.

I just wish XP didn't turn off at level 50. It took a lot of the excitement I had for the game away. Catching pals and killing bosses means nothing after level 50

This is beautiful. I've made a single building, two level foundation base over a lava pond near a sulfur vein using your minecraft block video and I've learned that even if I've connected two levels of foundations, they will not 'connect' unless I connect them with roofs (not sure about stairs) or the minecraft block (which I deleted of course). Now the lava base is fully roofed while being connected to the foundations using only 2 roofstairs. I like it so much that I'm actually thinking of deleting my copper ore/coal base which I commented in that minecraft block video of yours that if only I've learned of this trick sooner I would have built it 'correctly'.
Could you make an extreme version of this where you create a bridge from the top of that copper ore/coal base (which is quite popular) to the nearest plateau? You'd need some scary precise alignment to have the top roof line up with the myriad of bottom foundations, but if there's someone who can do it, I bet you can.

Build a perimeter at the edge using the max foundation height.
Capture ore and coal nodes in perimeter.
Fill in perimeter while leaving a path for the coal
There will be a small gap in the hill. Build a ramp over it.

Another good one! I think my biggest obstacle is getting adjusted to the mechanics. The pals drop from the sky over your pal box. Even if you get everything out of the way, they still get stuck. I'm thinking of putting a pal box under a bridge with a big foundation so they fall onto that instead of the box. They also don't go to their beds if the space isn't big enough, so they sleep all over the place, creating chaos if you want to work while they are out. Any building designs that are both functional and practical are welcome. Also, my daughter and I have been trying to force a double base to connect, but they won't overlap. Any glitches out their to force a mega (double) base?
‘preciate that!! Thats not a bad idea actually with building over the box 🤔 and unfortunately I havent figured out how to force them to their beds lmao they definitely just work until they pass out where they stand 😂
hmm, I don’t think theres a way to do that (unfortunately) maybe a, much less ideal, way to do it would be turn off build decay in settings, put bases as close as possible, and just manually build in between? 😫
@@priqe So, what we did is build a foundation level for each base and went across both circles. In each circle is a 4 wide block path, going in four directions like a cross +. The main path runs all the way down the middle and the + patterns repeats. we put chests on the outer edges of our base so that we can easily transfer needed material we are each producing. She is producing food and wood, while i am producing all rock and oar stuff. We use the third base to temporarily farm quartz and coal, and also to bombarde a boss with 20 pals plus our 2. OP strat for sure.

At 6:20 your auido cuts out for the rest of the video . good tip, but you could already do that with the roofs. I have bridges all over my world. But this update does make it clearer to see to connect things

Let's talk about how the stairs used to connect from the top, now only from the bottom. Can't put stairs down from a foundation without putting stairs above/on the foundation in order to connect the one going down then delete the stairs on top. Sucks because now if there's a rock or something blocking the top stair we can not put the stair going down. Foundations clip but walls and stairs don't? What gives? Either allow clipping or don't. Ugh.
You can! Just hold ALT while building it, I don’t think it was in the patch notes tho, I only figured it out by mashing my keyboard in frustration LOL
@@priqe You might want to make a short about this or include it in another tutorial. I learned about it from another UA-camr and I get the feeling it's a common problem.

ah true, my bad :( Mine is left trigger, but im not sure if that is the default keybind or not. The keybind is called "change building mode". Itll tell you in the keybind info when you have a build piece out at the bottom!

yeaaa, I would usually but I turned structure damage all the way down so I feel okay to build out of *mostly* wood lol
I started a new world on 2.1.0 and found 5 lucky real fast I think odds were increased.

I find it hard to see around on-screen elements, but your on-screen elements seme to take less space than mine. Are you using a UI mod?
no, no UI mod, do you have you FOV turned to max in the settings?
Am I the only one who can't make stairs directly from a foundation to the ground? If I make a wall I can add stairs to the bottom side to the ground and delete the wall after. If I connect directly to a foundation they only turn blue going up into the air
if you are on PC hold ALT while building the stairs, if you on XBOX i think its left trigger? keybind is called “change building mode” itll show up at the bottom of the keybinds when you have a piece out!
make roof piece connect to foundation but not make foundation connect to roof piece?

It's a Rust thing. Rust allows you to set foundations half a block up, as well as connect foundations to the bottom of stairs. But it's not like we couldn't do the same using your method. Patience is key.

Can u help me i am trying to make a 2nd base for ore and coal at 188,-39 but when i put the foundation at the centre i am not able to connect the stairs it Just says not connected to the structure plzz help

it should 🤔 i know the other tech worked on XBOX so this one should too, just might take a lil extra time because of micro-adjustments needed and stuff! Did u happen to try/get it after the comment?
