I have my plus pedal running into my zoia, with a seperate volume pedal between the two for dry and wet. Then, I can make whatever patch I want on the zoia, including interesting options for cross-modulation.
@@emilyharpist Another fun option, if the idea of using software doesn't sound bad to you, is to DI both outs from the plus into your audio interface and process in VCV Rack, so, like the Zoia, only with a lot more flexibility and CPU to work with. Back in pedal land, if you have a good pitch effect pedal (oct up, down, fiths, etc.), putting that on the wet-out/fx-loop of the Plus is a lot of fun, though possibly more applicable to guitar where the range is limited from fewer strings. It works pretty well on my PitchFork+ In the Drone Ranger video earlier this week I asked about that more-key pedal, I was actually asking with the idea of using it to interrupt the wet signal from the plus sounded like neat idea.
Those are some amazing sounds you're generating. It really does sound like a full, proper band playing this stuff. I've watched a couple of your videos in quick succession just now and they're really quite attention-grabbing. Hope you're keeping up the experimentation.

@@emilyharpist I also just exchanged another pedal for the arpanoid after watching Drone Rainger video no joke your channel is awful for my wallet but amazing for my creativity and pedal hoard
You should definitely do more videos with this. There is still so much untapped potential with this pedal with different pedal combinations. I'd suggest trying a modulated reverb to smooth out the jitters on the wet signal. Also you should try stacking the drone notes, (sustain set to infinite). I'd love to hear that on the harp.
@@emilyharpist I have the Plus and Light Pedals and was recently notified my Bigsby will be shipping soon, I found your chanel while checking for any new Bigsby videos.I'm not a harpist but appreciate and envy the instrument and anyone who can play it. Part of the reason I love the Marx Brothers is Harpo gets a chance to speak when his fingers carress the strings. The Light Pedal is one of the only pedals that you seriously consider getting two of because you know the combinations will be able to alter your creative process to levels you've never considered and create sound scapes that could turn the pedal into almost an instrument in and of it's self If you've not familiar with "That Pedal Show" I highly reccomend it and a pedal Dan and Mick designed with Jam Pedals called the "Harmoniuos Monk" it is a hamonic tremelo and is an always on pedal for me since the day it arrived. Dan is also the designer and manufacturer of the Gig Rig pedal swiching systems, which you may want to look into. Now if anyone exer axks me how many harp players I can name I've just doubled it.
I tried this pedal, and from my perspective, the Superego does the job better with less coloration of the sound and at a better price. Conversely, Gamechanger's Light reverb pedal is incredible and a unique take on reverb effects, generally. Of course, everyone's ear is subjective and the demo here shows off the Plus Pedal's best features, no doubt. Anyway, there's a in-depth comparison/review on Loopop's channel that demonstrates the difference between the Superego & Plus Pedal quite nicely. Love the channel and Emily's playing (obviously, that's why I'm here in the 1st place).
Thanks so much for the info!! I had a normal Suprego for a little while, and I have a Freeze pedal lying around somewhere, and neither of them came close to this one for me - but I haven't tried the Superego+ - I'm gonna check out that video soon!!!! And you're right, it's totally subjective!

Through your sonic experiments I have learned to follow listening again to the electric harp. I used to enjoy listening to Andreas Vollenweider ( Down to the moon album and others ) hopefully your followers will realise how versatile the harp is.
@@emilyharpist yeah it's just awesome. I had it rigged up to my tc acoustic play for some subtle vocal harmony vibez. Bit hipster sounding but it was cool fun. Left a very subtle carpet under the guitar. Played with a medium swell etc. Sounded great.
Anyone who says an EHX freeze pedal is better and cheaper are right on the latter but wrong on the former. I've had both. The subtlety you can get plus the envelope options make it so cool. Oh yeah and I also had an Ehx pog2 in the fx loop... With a plus one octave fading in and verb after. So good.
An interesting sound is running a reverb pedal before a compressor pedal then on to whatever other pedals you choose. I run a wah into a Walrus SLO then into a Bixonic SP compressor. Makes for a nice crunchy signal chain. Try it, very unique and satisfying.
You can create a very similar sustain effect using the Hold function on the Boss DD4 delay pedal, which I’ve been using with the cello for years. The main difference is that it sustains every note played while the pedal is held, not just the notes sounding at the time it’s depressed. It’s fantastic for building these giant walls of sound, I love it.
Here, I found one of few video examples I have of using the DD4 Hold function on the cello ua-cam.com/video/yPvdm2AA2As/v-deo.html There’s also the electro harmonix Ego and Super Ego that do their own version of sustain, those might be worth looking into. They have some functions unique from both the Plus and DD4 and you can do some really wild effects with them.
Thank you so much for your work. I play other instruments, but what you do and what you show is very inspiring in terms of how fun playing music can be. Also, the segment with mood and delta lacks only Thom Yorke's vocals :)
Ok, I have an idea: Since you have to sit stationary to play harp, a huge pedalboard isn't doable. You need one of those gunracks from the Matrix that zips back and forth real fast, so you can tap-dance everything from Placebo to Plus Pedal. Your tagline would be - "We need more pedals." 😉👍 And the vid is superb.

Best way to wake up! Listening to Emily and coffee in my cup :D
hahah GOOD MORNING STEVE 🥰❤️
Amazing as always!
Thank you, Erik!! 🥰
YES! I'll definitely be doing more with this pedal; I feel like I've barely scratched the surface! it has a permanent place on my board now ❤️
Brilliant demo Emily! Hadn’t strongly considered the Plus until just now...
thank you so much!! 🥰❤️ it's seriously one of my new favorite pedals now!!
Beautiful demo. Thank you❤️
thank YOU! thanks for being here! 🥰🥰🥰
Really great pedal combinations here, Emily ! This pedal absolutely shines with harp and imagine their Bigsby pedal will too 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you so much, Andy!! 🥰❤️ I seriously can't WAIT to try their Bigsby pedal (and I want to try their Light Pedal, too)!!
The Light Pedal is one of the only pedals that you seriously consider getting two of because you know the combinations will be able to alter your creative process to levels you've never considered and create sound scapes that could turn the pedal into almost an instrument in and of it's self
If you've not familiar with "That Pedal Show" I highly reccomend it and a pedal Dan and Mick designed with Jam Pedals called the "Harmoniuos Monk" it is a hamonic tremelo and is an always on pedal for me since the day it arrived. Dan is also the designer and manufacturer of the Gig Rig pedal swiching systems, which you may want to look into.
Now if anyone exer axks me how many harp players I can name I've just doubled it.
You could create lush pads very easily with this, very nice sound.
pretty mindblowingly powerful tool that
you must get a second one
@@emilyharpist: Thanx for reply., and yes, I was indeed referring to the Superego+.
This should save you some time (the review I spoke of).

5:33 that tremelo, so nice 💫
🥰🥰🥰
I think we've reached perfection! :o
Seriously this thing looks so fun I even want one as a bass guitar player, hehe :D
hahah YES please try it on bass and report back to us!! 😂❤️
@@emilyharpist Wish I could! I barely have any room for equipment right now! :'(
I'll remember if I ever get something like this though!! :D
What a lovely way to start my day off.
I hope you're having the best day!! 🥰❤️
@@emilyharpist I'm keeping out of mischief. Honest!
That sweater looks so rediculously comfy. Dang.
Oh and great work guys, nice demo and wonderful musics as always🎃
haha THIS SWEATER IS THE BEST!! I actually bought it at the same time I purchased that Cat Keyboard from Target... 😂❤️ I'm so glad it's finally starting to get cold enough here on Long Island to wear it! 🎃
@@emilyharpist Nice. So what I'm -hearing- *reading* is that was an epic shopping day. Gotta love sweater weather! (spooky season FTW🦇)
I love my plus pedal for guitar. It becomes an extension of the instrument and almost essential to have now that I've become used to it.
I feel the same way about it for harp!! I have so much fun with it 😊
Through your sonic experiments I have learned to follow listening again to the electric harp. I used to enjoy listening to Andreas Vollenweider ( Down to the moon album and others ) hopefully your followers will realise how versatile the harp is.
thank you so much, David!! ❤️
Love mine. Use it on my acoustic tenor guitar. I stick my strymon flint's reverb (80s one on infinite) in the FX loop. So good!
note to self - get footswitch too
Reverb in the FX loop is definitely my favorite way to use it!! It’s incredible, honestly!!!
I'll try that out!! thank you for the suggestion!! 🥰
This should be the go to demo for this pedal
This sounds so nice! Your channel is so cool!
Thank you Simon!!!!
Here, I found one of few video examples I have of using the DD4 Hold function on the cello ua-cam.com/video/yPvdm2AA2As/v-deo.html
There’s also the electro harmonix Ego and Super Ego that do their own version of sustain, those might be worth looking into. They have some functions unique from both the Plus and DD4 and you can do some really wild effects with them.
Thank you so much for your work. I play other instruments, but what you do and what you show is very inspiring in terms of how fun playing music can be.
Also, the segment with mood and delta lacks only Thom Yorke's vocals :)
hahah thank you so much!! and omg I WISH, working with Thom is a DREAM of mine 😂❤️
Would be astounding if Schecter could come up with a sustainiac for the harp. That would open entirely new possibilities.
I like how your hair is turning out! You’re an adorable floof nugget of talent hahaha
hahah ahhhhh thank you so much!!! 🥺❤️
@@emilyharpist you are very welcome 😝
Ok, I have an idea:
Since you have to sit stationary to play harp, a huge pedalboard isn't doable.
You need one of those gunracks from the Matrix that zips back and forth real fast, so you can tap-dance everything from Placebo to Plus Pedal.
Your tagline would be -
"We need more pedals."
😉👍
And the vid is superb.
HAHAHAH oh my god YES WE NEED TO MAKE THAT HAPPEN 😂😂😂
Idk how I stumbled on this channel but I love it
hahah thank you for being here!! welcome to our weird-but-awesome little harp & pedal community 😂❤️
@@emilyharpist thank you thank you!
Nice to see ThorpyFX get a mention. They make some top quality kit
they really do!! can't wait to try more Thorpy pedals! ❤️
I am buying this pedal! Very cool… 👍❤️
Thank you so much!! I hope you love it as much as I do!! 🥰❤️
Man I dig your vids. THANKS
thank you so much!! 🥰❤️
Stunning, as always…
thank you so much! 🥰🥰🥰
It seems to sample the incoming signal, then loop it.
You're something of a nerdy harp maverick aren't you?🤣
Love your content. Very inspiring!
HAHAH I am TOTALLY a nerdy harp maverick 😂❤️ thank you for being here! I appreciate you!! :)
