I don't see a problem with that combination. The Diamond 10.1 are clear but a trace mellow. The Onkyo is available for an excellent price. I actually have an Onkyo TX-8255 in my system now, as well as the Yamaha. I drove my Diamond 9.6 with them just fine. For the money, the combination can't be beat.
+PATRIOT - - - I got everything at an excellent price. The $550 Receiver was $275, and the $1000/pr speakers were $425/pr with free shipping. I've upgraded the amp now, and the Yamaha has moved to the 12" speakers. The old Onkyo has been moved to my computer.
I assume you mean the boost on the Bass Control. I can hear both the speaker and the recording. When listening to the speakers, I don't use that extra bass. However, I recorded test tone frequencies to the camera and played them back. The camera microphone, which does record very good audio, was a tad bass weak. So, I gave the boost to even it out a bit, and I think it work well. On my Computer speakers, I'm not hearing any excessive bass on the video. Thanks for the response though.
Opinions on the Klipsch RP-Series? I'm lead to believe they have softened both the intensity and the harshness of the Horns, and some have claimed the Klipsch has now made their best consumer speaker. Z-Reviews seemed very impressed with the speakers, and his demo's would seem to bare that out.
Hi, friend. I'm thinking about buying a pair of Diamon 10.1 and match them with the Onkyo TX-8255. Since you have the receiver and a pair of Wharfedales, could you give me your opinion about the sound this components produce together? Thank you very much.
The Onkyo TX-8255(50w/ch) is a fine amp for very little money. The Yamaha RX797 (100w/ch) is a better amp for more than Twice the money. I paid US$169 for the TX-8255 (on sale) and the standard price for the RX797 is about US$550. I have no regrets, I bought the Wharfedale Speakers and wanted more power to drive then, and I actually only paid US$270 for the Yamaha RX797. So, I'm not complaining. Whether it is worth the change is something only you can determine. I'm curious, are you buying a used RX797, because they haven't made that amp in years. Today, the equivalent amp is the Yamaha RS700 - - - usa.yamaha.com/products/audio_visual/hifi_components/r-s700/index.html - - - But even that is discontinued. The best bet in a Receiver would be the Yamaha RN602 Network Receiver (80w/ch) which has DACs (digital to analog converter), Network Streaming of Audio, and Bluetooth. Though Bluetooth is not really needed if you have Network Streaming. - - - usa.yamaha.com/products/audio_visual/hifi_components/r-n602/index.html - - - If you want a much lower cost Receiver, then consider the Yamaha RN303 (100w/ch, DAC) also with Network Streaming - - - usa.yamaha.com/products/audio_visual/hifi_components/r-n303/index.html - - - That is much more affordable.
Entonces, no me estoy quejando.
I've had my Yamaha for years, never a problem, and if you can get it for US$130, that is a deal. Very nice amp, though leaning slightly to the warm side. Though that is specifically why I bought it.
That's a bit complicated. The room my stereo is in (the listening space) is 16ft x 16ft, but it is open floorplan, and the entire space is 16ft x ~36ft (Living Room, Kitchen, Entryway). So, I have plenty of space for the speakers. My Prime Listening location (were I sit), roughly were the camera is placed in the videos, is about 10ft from the speakers, and the speakers are about 5 feet apart Center-to-Center.
I had some JBL Stadium Venue (2x8" each), but they were too bass heavy and that meant they couldn't have close placement. I would say the speakers need 2 feet or more of space behind them to sound right. Now I can't say about the JBL E90, but they are big speakers, if you are considering them, make sure you have space for them. You absolutely can NOT place any speaker back against the wall and expect them to sound right.
@@blueboyblue Thank u for respond then i should go for 9.6s good balanced sound.İ have e30 their sounds bassy too but very dinamic and open sound.thanx bro
@@triplecrescend7288 The Diamond 9.6 are several generations old, they don't make them any more. Are you sure you can get a pair? I believe Wharfedale just came out with the new Diamond 12 Series. But the Diamond 11 Series are still readily available.

I love Santana. I just got this same RX797 receiver
