How do you find out if you are breathing toxic substances? I have been living in the same apartment for 14years. It has always had a problem with dust coming in thru the vents, including cigarette smoke. As of late the amount of dust and odd smells has increased greatly. A short while ago the management removed all the great big antennas from on top of the roof. They made rental money from telephone, tv, cable companies and such for allowing them to put and keep them up there. I think it allowed better reception for houses in the area This is a ten story high rise building. I live on the top floor. So lately my breathing has gotten progressively worse. I have COPD for many years. The doctors I have seen will only renew past prescriptions I have been taking for those many years before and they no longer do much to improve my ability to breathe. What can I do?
My doctor is baffled how I got mine. 22 years ago I was exposed to something at work which burned out the inner lining of my lungs (was coughing up blood and pink phlem). But that was a long time ago. I smoked for about 10 years, but the doctor said that doesn't seem long enough. I have had pneumonia twice, It was the second time that led to the discovery of the disease. I also tested positive for COVID but never got sick because I took every vaccine offered. Current theory is that the COVID triggered the pneumonia because my lungs were already slightly damaged, but this put into a tail spin. This is scary, though. I used to have good days and bad days. Now I only have good moments and bad moments. Not a good sign.
@@sadie4me2 Sorry, I was being sarcastic about a dumb comment. This disease is literally killing me. I have to sleep on the couch because my constant coughing doesn't allow my wife to get any sleep. I live in Tokyo and the problem is trying to find a doctor who believes this is an actual disease. Here everyone believes it is just an extended form of pneumonia. Really sucks to be in country that has universal health care but is 30 years behind the US in medicine.
