I like peanut ones best, but I'd eat it. Instead of using 2 tubs of cool whip, just save it for the top... Use 2 cups of heavy whipping cream and beat it with an electric mixer about 5 minutes until thick and spread it on with a spatula which is also a great tool for getting all the cool whip and mousse out of the tub and the mixing bowl.

I’m a certified cake technician (retired) I totally agree crumbling by hand is best with homemade!! All my years working everything had to be precise and that is perfect when someone is coming to pay for precision baking and decorating. But everything I do at home is crumbling by hand.

Put the chocolate pudding powder in the bowl first and then add the Cool Whip. Then you won’t get as much pudding power flying when you stir, lol! Looks yum! 💕

I don't think that would be a good substitute. But I'm not a chef. For the instant pudding, you just add milk and it turns into pudding.
