i am restoring another baboo rod.. and i just very easily pulled the pin out of the reel seat.. very easy. ans real seat came off fast, also from utner that handel on the now clean blank, i wrapped the bamboo from the base to the top of were the handle top would be, with nylon rod thread, then coated it with epoxy, to help it stay strong

Could you please talk about how to protect label's and signatures on the cane while scrapping and stripping ?
