Here's a simpler argument that doesn't require an ad hoc hypothesis: 1) A good god would not allow evil and suffering, 2) Evil and suffering exist, 3) Therefore, a good god does not exist. If you could easily prevent a massacre at a school with no risk to yourself and you stood by and did nothing, what kind of person would you be? But, you divert attention away from this awkward question by introducing a red herring... nice spinning!
