went on a trip to tokyo walking around for 2 weeks in the 990v6 and my feet was never sore. highly recommend that shoe for constant traveling and walking around. however, i do love the look of the 991v2 and will definitely cop a pair! thank you for comparing the two and sharing your video and thoughts!
I bought the 990V5 in grey and loved them and then bought the 990V6 navy blue and love them. So comfortable with great support and you can buy in size and width. I wear a 11 1/2 EE a perfect fit for me. I would highly them.
The 991v2 is just a good looking silhouette on and off foot. I'm sure the 990v6s are comfy on foot, but I just don't like the look of them. Thanks for the review.
The 991v2 might be my favorite New Balance design. The UK team really outdid the US with this one. With that being said, I have a good feeling that we'll see a 992v2 in the near future.
Thank god for this video, I almost bought the V2 but thanks to your comment about the tongue (I hate it when my pants get caught behind it like with the 2002 protection packs) and I think I will fork over an extra 100 and go for a JJJJound 991.
I find the upper more comfortable / shaped to my feet on the OG 991. The heel softness is obviously more comfortable on the 991v2 but it's minimal, esp compared between 990v5 and v6. v6 is a huge difference.
Hey Hes! I don’t know why the GR 991v2 doesn’t have the Uk flag at the back but the stone island pair I have has the flag. Hopefully they do the other colorways with the UK Flag
I usually wear a Men’s US 10.5 in New Balance 990v3. For the 991v2 I tried on a US10.5Men’s in the New Balance store and they were too long for my feet. I found that a half size down to size 10 in the 991v2 fit perfectly for me.

Im just wondering which one is the MOST comfortable of the 2 🤔 Also without considering the hype i would say the 990v6 takes the cake , however the back view of the 991 looks way cooler! Im wondering what a top down view looks like of both
I think they’re both awesome pairs, in the classic NB gray specifically I definitely think the 991v2 looks better. I’m gonna try and grab the stone island collab on secondary market now that the prices seem to be dropping slightly 😅
They put different versions of the FuelCell midsole across the board. If you were a runner, you’d know. You actually need to run. There’s an alarming need for you to run.
What colors will be expected for the 991v2? Visually they are so much better than 990v6. But I have enough NB greys for now For my feet the 990v5 is really not great. My foot shape just doesn't go well in it. The v3 on the other hand is mad comfortable to me.
I've had all the 900 series shoes. The 993 is the most classic, best fit, best physical look and best leather pattern. Once you wear these? You will NEVER want to buy anything else. These feel like custom made shoes for YOUR feet. ($220)

990V6 is more all around shoe. You can wear for travelling and use it at every time eventually also at the gym away from home. 991 is more dressy, less all round and more winter shoe due to the more suede. If I have to choose only one model I would go for 990V6 because is a 360degress shoe.

I do own 1906r which I bought first and later on bought 990v6. Atm I do own 2 pairs of 990v6 and in my opinion they're way more comfier than 1906r.
I'm loving the 991v2, the only downfall for me is the large branding on the tongue... I'd also like a different color.
My 990v5 outsole came off after 3 months of using it daily to commute to office and home. Maybe i got a bad pair.

For my pinky toe to not be smashed I need the 6e which the 990v6 actually comes in. It's rare to find a shoe that is wide enough for me.
