    Hi Sal,
    What's double exposure?

    • @SalCincotta1
      @SalCincotta1  Рік тому +1

      when you take two exposures and combine into a single frame. like the last one i showed in the video. did you see that one? does that make sense?

    • @requirementswizard
      @requirementswizard Рік тому

      @@SalCincotta1 Sure. Yep. So it’s similar to bracketing I guess. To the best of my knowledge, in bracketing you take one underexposed, one correctly exposed and third one over exposed and then merge all three together. This technique seems to be bit different where you alter the elements within the same frame and stitch together. Is that correct?

    • @SalCincotta1
      @SalCincotta1  Рік тому +1

      @@requirementswizard yes and no... there are only two frames... no under or over exposing... its the same exposure, but i guess it doesnt have to be per se. you could in theory do more than 2 frames... all depends on the camera software. this is built in to your camera. or at least it is in the new cameras.

      are you an idiot? "so come a baby step forward for me"... is calling her "baby"? so not only are you speaking out of ignorance... lets say i did... who are you... the internet name police???

    Hello Sal. I hope you don't mind me stating any of this. Within the first 49 seconds you gave licence for someone to say your work isn't even art, never mind fine art. You would have every right to feel insulted at that. Not only your work but other fine photographers too. If indeed Fine Art can be literally anything as you say it is a personal thing, then there is no need for any further lesson. So the other 5.30 seconds of the video become a waste of your time. Fine Art may offend, but it does not insult. Why have a rule book if we can just throw it out the window?
    There are some who hold to the blinkered view that it can only be Fine Art if it is monotone, and by that they insult every photographer who prefers the richness of colour.
    I have to shoot on auto as I would otherwise not be able to judge if the image were blurred or not. That then is only a minimal work of art because what I can judge is the composition. I might be a able to refine the picture in Photoshop, where there it may become a work of Fine Art.
    What I have stated is not a personal opinion. There are guidelines on making a better image. That is in fact why you made the video. There are the rule of thirds, cut off points, burn out, etc, Is a hand chopped off being out of the frame, or a leg amputated at an ankle. Is that a branch growing out of someone's ear? Such faulty pictures may have an artistic merit, but they could be improved on.
    Art is being able to learn the skill to be able to do. The image may reflect the level of the Artist's skill. So the finer the image the more it testifies of what the artist has spent days and even years learning.

      Im truly not sure im following what you are saying. i appreciate you taking the time to put your thought down, but at the same time - im not really tracking you. To the only point im tracking from you - you highlight i say "someone can say your work isnt even art"... that is a 100% correct statement. someone can say whatever they want to say. they can categorize your work however THEY the viewer interprets it. that is, afterall, part of art. Beauty is always in the eye of the beholder. Im not sure why that statement in and of itself is off putting to you. I mean look up any definition of fine art and you will get something to the effect of - "Fine-art photography is photography created in line with the vision of the photographer as artist, using photography as a medium for creative expression."

    • @stevejones1682
      @stevejones1682 2 місяці тому

      @@SalCincotta1 I don't like to say it but, you now come across as being someone who is entirely self taught. You teach what you don't really understand. I'm not even sure you know what art is even. I can't say any more than that, and what I stated isn't difficult to understand.
      Incidentally, my Oxford dictionary does not even list Photography as a Fine Art. It does however list what is fine Art.
