In case you are watching this video and contemplating getting this knife... Get it! I have all kinds of knives from all different reputable brands. This is my hands down favorite. The action is awesome, both the flipper and the studs are functional. There is no describing how comfortable the knife is and the flawless action of the knife. I called Spartan Blades a few days ago and Curtis himself answered the phone. The customer service is beyond all the experiences I have ever had.How often is it you call a company and the owner answers the phone? If you pick up this knife you WILL NOT be disappointed. Thanks Spartan Blades for the unbelievable knife, and above that the unparalleled customer service.
One of the smoothest knives I own. It is an awesome knife. Very very sharp out of the box. For a large knife it is very easy to edc. (If you like large knives) A lot of ppl comment on the price. Please remember this is a MUCH smaller company than Kershaw/ZT. Spartan worked closely with the ppl at CRK to truly make an amazing product. If I didn't like this knife I would've sold it or returned it. I love this knife. I wish they made it in some different colors. That's my only complaint. Black and silver gets boring. I'll also always support American smaller businesses. I love this knife. And i have a LOT of knives. Great knife and I'm very happy I bought it. If you're military/law enforcement or a fire fighter, they give you a 10% discount on their products. I respect that as well.
Only collectors and civies care about colors, it's a soldier's blade, it needs to be austere. you'll never hear someone in the navy seals say " man, I wish this knife came in neon green with an orange blade, black is so boring"
Mine just arrived and so far I love it , pretty noticeable button stick though , will that go away with use? , also should I give it a light oil around the pivot or just use it .....again it's a great knife , my first sparten and first button lock 👍
Awesome knife. Do you thought about an deep carry clip? I like to carry my knifes as stealth as possible, just to avoid dumb questions of non knife guys
Great knife. Mine had a faulty button lock out of the box. I can push it shut with my pinky. Might as well be a slip joint with 0 lock back. Fun fidget. 0 practical use as a serious tool with broken button lock.
I love the material and look of the blade but the scales seen on the cheap end. Just curious hows the weight and balance? For $285 I would have figured Titanium or carbon fiber. This knife puts me in mind of a kershaw...not even ZT. I know I'm gonna catch hell for this comment but I'll end up getting one and spending a fortune getting it the way they should release it. killing the warranty at that.
I think I'd have to agree with you on this one. Granted, it's a handsome knife, but the price is rather high when compared to similar knives. Take, for example, my ZT 0452CF. It also has a blade (4.1") made of S35VN steel on ball bearings, but has a frame lock side made of titanium and the front scale made of carbon fiber. All for the same retail price, but I bought mine brand new for $220. I like this knife, but I think I'd be more inclined to spend the money on another Microtech Socom. Just saying.
Thoric David We have made thousands of these folders and the detente has not been an issue. There isn’t a detent ball. The bias to closing is from the button riding into a dish on the blade. If you are having an issue please do contact our customer service and we will do what we can to help👍
Not at all! I am actually in the process of picking one of these bad boys up. I just watched a few reviews where people were complaining about it, and wanted your opinion!
Man that sure sounded cheap and degrading to an extent when you said joke around the company is, "if it's sharp has a point and handle then somebody will want it" you should make knives you are passionate about not just build them so that somebody would want one but build a knife that everyone will want to own and be proud to carry! Also I see your knife is out of stock on your site at like $400 yet there are numerous available on eBay for right around the $100 mark??? Are these made in USA as implied on the side of handle or are they made in china or Taiwan (which isn't necessarily a bad thing they're manufacturing some great knives these days)
That comment was made several years ago but I think we remember the gist of it. The point is that every person has a different taste in knives. The knives we think are beautiful others think are ugly and distasteful and vice versa. Basically, there is a whole world of knives and designs. As for the $100.00 knives on eBay, they are cheap Chinese knock off’s of the ones we make in our shop. You must not be familiar with our brand or you would understand that we are extremely passionate about the knives we make and design. We have put our whole lives and futures into it. Have a nice day….
@@SpartanBlades1 you're right I am not familiar due to the priced vs materials used but then again I do own several sebenzas which never really made much sense to me either till I bought one lol as for your crovan fixed blades I was born and raised right here in Olean NY yes home of KaBar and Cutco, with Case/Zippo being 10mins away and microtech also then 15-20mins north is OKC knives so to say we are knife people is an understatement lol I may actually pick up one of your knives that are made here by my family and friends who are employed at KaBar on Homer Street but I remember the original plant on 9th and Wayne which was deserted in the early 80's and as a kid we would go walk through the bldg which still had all the equipment and machinery still in it lots of unfinished knives and blade blanks and outside we dug up thousands of knives that were buried all around the building some in great working condition still but it still makes we wonder why they didn't just recycle or reuse the parts rather than bury them on their property 🤔 wish I still had alot of them today but sadly I only have like 2 or 3 I've kept because every time my brother and I brought home buckets full my mom would make us get rid of them 😕 still I own roughly 6-700 different knives I've collected for past 25+ years some costing thousands and most all over $100 I don't buy cheap knives I buy quality when I find value in materials used and price compared to what else is on the market using those same materials but some I buy for the name like custom striders because they'll hold their value if not gain when kept unused... my problem is decided which one to keep and which to use lol they're all tools initially that are made to be used but I find it hard to beat on all the different prototypes and customs I have...
@@kevinAuman1 Kevin, that’s an awesome story. I’ve been Olean a few times and the people are as bad as friendly as it gets. It’s interesting to hear your story about the knives being buried. I have been told that several the sidewalks in Olean have KA-BAR Knives buried underneath them as a form of rebar. You certainly can’t go wrong with Chris Reeve Knives Chris and Tim are very good friends of ours and we love their knives as well. Thanks for sharing, stay safe, and all the best!
$285 for an aluminum handle and aluminum-steel lock mechanism... nice looking knife but this is very overpriced. A paramilitary 2, griptilian, even some of the ZTs are alot more competitively priced.

Agreed. Amazing knife. Lately I've been carrying it more than my socom elite. Spartan blades is quickly becoming my favorite knife company
Just received my Pallas 30 minutes ago. It's amazing. Super comfortable, nice action, nice and sharp. Good job boys.

As for the price. It's worth every penny. Have you tried the zelos.? My favorite auto I own now.

I have several button locks and want to add this one to my collection. Looks like a solid built knife that I can hard use at work logging
Nice folder. I am impressed. I might have to pick one up.
I totally missed the boat on these and would love to get my hands on one!! Are these still in production?
They are! They're building them in their most recent video! Gonna stop by their shop hoping today and snag one!

A stainless steel lock riding in aluminium? How does that work in 50 years?
We will let you know in 50 years! But so far it is working great..
Awesome!!

have to get one
Any chance you would ever do G-10 or carbon fiber handles in the future?
American1911 Possibly G10 but no plans for that right now👍

Been quiet on the channel.
I love the design and blade, but I really don't like that it has bearings
super awesome
Any reason that these have such a weak detent?

Tan or Olive options?

TigerStrike728 Working on a FDE option👍
Put the U.S A. On blade in small print and get it off the handle!! Keep the Arrow !!
