Toseland deserved the title that year, but part of me wanted Vermulen to win it, as while everyone else had ups and downs through the year, he quietly racked up the points.

One of my earliest bike racing memories was watching Magny Cors 2004 on the BBC as a 9 year old. Became a JT 52 fan for life
A very close year with Toseland, Laconi and Haga in battle all season.
