    Good save Doc. Been watching your videos for a bit now when I was getting out of the hospital and looking at wheelchairs I came across a EUC. Didn't know what it was and your channel was one I came across and caused me to ditch the chair and get a kingsong 14D. I have CRPS that spread everywhere but the 14 turned into an RS19 and now I hope to upgrade to a suspension wheel. In the middle of a wicked flair up so hopefully this summer. It's strange walking is very hard I need to concentrate but on the wheel I feel normal learning and spending my electric wheelchair money on the euc saved my life.

      yeah buddy, I can ride my Inmotion V11 ALL DAY, yet I can't ride a bicycle at all without pain and can only walk slowly for a short time on a flat surface. EUC has dramatically improved my quality of life.
      The V11 is a really comfortable ride on and off-road. Other wheels either hurt my back or me legs.

Ya I was surprised nicely by it because of seizures they took my DL boo lol . in 2019 needed a walker to get around even now if it is far or uphill I need it but the EUC as long as I can keep my mind clear and focus I can rip around effortlessly Feel like a person again.

    Nice review Doc! Out of all the expensive wheels currently out there, I agree that this is the one that justifies the price. Yes, the others may have bigger batteries which drive up the price, but the R&D, tech, build, and finish of the V13 make it well worth the price of admission in my opinion.

      Hi Brother Ted. This wheel really is so well made. The selling point for me was all those safety features that can lower risk of cutout as well as a thermal runaway. I know it’s not a perfect wheel but I think this is as close to perfection an EUC can get at this moment. Kudos to InMotion for all their hard work and great commitment to safety.

    This is awesome 👍 I bought a v12 secondhand as my first wheel and for a great price from a great fella. I love it and because I had a surgery I only got two months of riding before a 5 week break and I absolutely cant wait very excited to ride again. I figured when it comes time to buy my second euc as a brand new one I would consider the v13 and boy does it look much bigger then the v12. After watching this I certainly know I have more enjoyment to come on my v12 before my skills could take me up a level. I bet having no suspension for awhile from the start will really humble a rider who then goes to a suspension wheel and thats even more fun to look forward to in the future. Great video love it stay safe and Godspeed!

      The V12 is an awesome wheel. Powerful, fast and quality parts and features in a wheel.
      The suspension does feel great in the V13. I really appreciate it more when I go over bumps or do occasional stairs. It is so heavy however that I needed to change my techniques to make it as nimble as my Nikola. Once I get going, the V13 is a seated rider’s dream. Maneuvering at slow and fast speed are both excellent.

      Thanks! Yeah that wobble was a shock to me when it occurred. I was riding the V13 the way I rode my Nikola. The V13 needs a more exaggerated squatting brake technique when slowing down. I also made my pads more staggered so that my feet pedal placement is more staggered. I was glad I didn’t panic and acted appropriately in killing those wobbles. I intend to also do more seated braking from now on.

    Great video DR ADAM now who looks like a kid in a candy store :P hehe enjoy mate i have mine so dialled in now its like an extension to my foot ! thanks for the shoutout as well :) Also the wobbles are from experience in your foot placement well done it will become normal no wobble experience after a few hundred kms also.

    • @AdamU1016
      @AdamU1016  Рік тому

      Yes we have the same sentiments with the V13 indeed. It certainly makes me feel young.
      I made my feet placement more staggered vs that on the Nikola. In addition, I didn’t have to squat as much to brake on the Nikola to prevent wobbles but with the V13 I really squat brake more with the whole upper body leaning farther back. It’s an adjustment I have to ingrain in my head more. I found the seated technique great at preventing wobbles too. I intend to do more seated braking from now on.
      Since you have already acclimated to the V13 nuances, did you have to do anything extra once the 56 mph unlock was allowed? I still have difficulty in going more than 37 mph. Recently, there was a setting I think under calibration mode that I clicked with regards to when the wheel is not updating in its new setting. Unfortunately, I haven’t had the time to see if that did the trick since work gets in the way. Lol.

      I had not ridden an EUC for about 3 months so I was a little rusty. I applied my braking technique the way I would with my Nikola too. I need to use more upper body and squatting technique when slowing down. This is an adaptation in progress for me. I have since positioned my side pads so that my feet are more staggered to offset the wobbles. I will also make sure to use more seated braking technique too. That is a real wobble killer.

    Hello Adam - I like your videos. I am enjoying some early warm weather on my new V11- it took me a while to get used to riding higher and with the 60 pound weight for my 5'2" 145 pound female form and I haven't even attempted to learn seated riding yet. I haven't secured a ramp yet and lifting the thing up and down the three steps to get it in and out is a little tedious but doable and I simply put it in the backseat on my small car which has a low entry point. Sometimes my "bad" knee gets sore and I have to give myself an extra day of rest after a long ride- I reminded myself that at this time last year I was still learning my v5f and was tired after riding it 3 niles- whereas this spring I have already done a 14 mile ride on the V11! so, maybe I am just taking on too much too fast. I still only ride at 15 mph max - how long did it take you to go faster? I am really scared of the idea of increasing my speed because I know myself and I get careless sometimes - maybe if I increase the limit very gradually ....

    • @AdamU1016
      @AdamU1016  Рік тому

      When I first learned the EUC in 2015, the fastest wheel out there was about 15 mph. My Fastwheel beeped at 12 mph. I sold that after 3 months. My next wheel the KS14C was faster at max speed 20 mph. I had that for 2 years. I then upgraded to KS18L with max speed 28 mph and then the Nikola with max safe speed about 35 mph.
      In my situation, it took years before I felt comfortable going really fast because the tech back then was so different.
      I learned seated riding because the pedals of the Nikola were uncomfortable. Seated riding also prevents wobbles. It took me about 3 years before I became comfortable with seated riding.
      Just take your time. No need to rush being fast. Have safe rides!

    Nice video. I'm tempted by the v13, but I might also skip for a ShermanS instead. Just a bit too big. Just a bit.
    But I hope that inmotion could keep the design similar for their others wheels, such as begode does..
    (And by the way, the A2 only has a 1000w motor, same as a V8 and no trolley.. better get a proven v8f instead)

    • @AdamU1016
      @AdamU1016  Рік тому +1

      Either wheel is great. Both are relatively new suspension wheels and unproven yet by time. Choosing between the two, I decided to go for the V13 due to their history of great QC and priority of safety over performance. With the V13 specs, it has both performance and tons of safety features. That made me decide for the V13. The Sherman S is my second choice suspension wheel and I would have had no regrets had I chosen that either.
      I have ridden the V8f and it certainly is a nimble wheel and has proven itself through the years. However, I always like newer models and once it has proven itself in about 6 months to a year, I will probably get that too.

  • @Nemonurwingy
    @Nemonurwingy Рік тому

    Thanks for the video. It’s a cool wheel, though I look forward to its advantages filtering down to smaller wheels. My fast wheel is an EXN that I got a good deal on, and I love it, but even it gets sidelined in favor of my V8S if I have to do anything stair or trolley heavy. Even at 70 pounds the EXN sometimes gets annoying to deal with. The V13 looks cool, but I don’t think it’s for me. I’d love the redundancy, safety features, suspension, and overall quality in a 60-70 pound wheel. I rarely go much more than 35, which is about as fast as I feel the police are cool with. I live about a mile from a State Police station, and I see police pretty much every day I ride.

    • @AdamU1016
      @AdamU1016  Рік тому +1

      Yeah the V13 does need some body mechanic adaptation when riding. My mind and body have been geared to riding my Nikola a certain way. I still need to ingrain my new riding style with the V13 hence I got wobbles on the second day of riding.
      Initially I was missing my trusty Nikola since it really is such a responsive, easily maneuverable wheel. However, looking back in switching from a KS18 to a Nikola I also had some initial reservations with my Nik. After 2 years with the Nik, it is the best wheel ever for me. I live near the police station too and when I am nearby I ride as slow and careful as I can. Although I am already a responsible rider, I embellish it more when near police.
      I am sure I will feel the same way once I have adapted to the V13 quirks of riding.
      I am sure you will love the EXN just as much once you have acclimated to it too. I have heard great reviews from fellow riders on that wheel.

    • @Nemonurwingy
      @Nemonurwingy Рік тому

      @@AdamU1016 I already love riding the EXN, I mostly mean the larger form factor makes me use the V8S when I’m running errands or going on the train, that sort of thing since it’s half the weight and the trolley experience is far better. It’s nice to have options.

      There is no perfect EUC. I don’t know about this cutout at low speed issue. The cutout at high speed occurred because the guy overleaned when he was getting close to max speed. These issues can be fixed with a firmware update. The 42 mosfets and 18 capacitors will help keep the internal temperature low. The cutout wasn’t due to high internal temps.

      Both the 16X and V12 are great choices. You can’t go wrong with either. The 16X is a well proven wheel and has no issues. Max speed is about 28 mph GPS speed.
      The V12 max speed is about 35 mph, has a display so you won’t really need an phone app to know your speed. It is more recent and has been around for over a year. The V12 has more features and for only an extra $200 that would be a better deal. Which seller are you buying from? I would recommend a dependable one and not AliExpress. If you go to detailed data do you see on like the third bars down something that says “dynamic speed limit?” If fiddling with pedal hardness doesn’t help you in not sure what else I know that could help. But I hope it gets resolved cause riding the v13 capped at 37 mph seems unfortunate!

      @@againsthegrainx7556 There’s a section under vehicle calibration that can be activated when the new settings don’t kick in. I activated it so I hope that will do the trick. My other problem is finding the time to play with my wheel. I hope to be able to get some riding time this weekend to see if I can finally ride in the 40 plus mph range.

    EUCs should be classified as class 3 ebike.... No one should be riding past 40 km/h unless off road on private property....

    That wheel is not maneuverable whatsoever.. if you're not doing 50 plus it's no fun

      I agree but just like with any new wheel whatever size there is always an adaptation stage. I have ridden many size wheels from 10”, 12”, 14”, 16” and 18”. I had to adapt my technique with each. I will need more riding time to get to really know my V13.
      If Dawn Champion who is 5’4” “fell in love with the wheel” then I know I can too. I have to use more upper leg muscles and core as well as more arm swinging to really effect a maneuverable feel to the wheel. It will take more riding time but I am confident that I will eventually be one with the V13.
      I already have an MTen3 and I like its portability and nimbleness. I have been recently eyeing that Begode A2. It looks like a nice intermediate wheel.
