Oh God, i barely remember when I was visiting Japan Day (obviously in Cosplay xD)
But I felt way to squished with all these people and so we decided the long car ride isn't worth the experience any more.
Though, I won't miss the experience of having seen it at least once ^^
I wasn't feeling all to well and was quite in pain (just got realeased from hospital one day before) and it hailed for a short amount of time, but it was still a lot of fun ^^
If you ever visit the FBM or LBM (the book fairs), you can find a lot of cosplayers as well ^^

Because Düsseldorf also has the biggest japanese community . I guess, there are living about 8000 people from Japan and also students could study the japanese language at university. And this idea to rent a kimono and do fotos with, is also known in Tokio itself.

Koreans are anti-japanese , but they appear in Japan town and become friends at first 〜because it is advantageous for economic activities .
As the number of Koreans increases , anti-japanese activities will begin .
That is the situation in the United States today .

The scale and creativity that's involved in these events is really quite something and could be really exciting to see for an international audience.

I love japan day. I've been to every single one since 2013. I'm a person that gets extremely sick on hot days (to the point of sometimes, but rarely, passing out) but I take that risk for Japan Day every year. I just have to be very careful.
Edit: It surprises me how little food there seems to have been this year. I couldn't do much this year (and had to leave very early) due to the above mentioned sickness, but the years before I always had takoyaki, yakisoba, yakitori and much elses. I don't remember if it was always there, but at least twice there was even a japanese sweets stand there.

I think that all these weebs spoiled the event. It looked nothing like a regular Japanese event, but more like Tokyo Game show or a cosplay convention. More shops selling anime goods than Japanese food.
Maybe Dusseldorf needs a second event just for them, but separately. With one of the biggest Japanese communities in Europe, this event missed out the opportunity of having more Japanese people involved, more Japanese businesses.
The overpriced yakisoba had nothing Japanese in it.
Unless I want to hang out around weebs that think Japan has only anime and manga to offer, eat expensive food and have no space to move around, I will not join the event ever again.
