This is hands down one of the best videos. I literally got off the plane and played this video as I was walking, following you exactly. Thank you for getting me from the airport to my hotel, CHEAP!
Just got back from my 10 day trip to LV. I was motivated to use public transport on this trip (because of your videos) instead of renting a car as we always do. We were able to get around everywhere using RTC bus system - Chinatown, Koreatown, local strip malls, outlet malls, Freemount, M Resort in Henderson, etc. Your videos were very helpful. Just wanted to say Thanks!!!
Do not take the deuce for a good couple months before F1 and maybe a month after... We stayed at Paris and dropped us off at Fashion Show.. about 1 1/2 miles away from Paris. The deuce had it's own stop at the transfer point too, and did not stop at bay 14. We waited around bay 14 and saw people running to the deuce when it pulled up. My dad was impressed I knew my way around the airport though, thanks to you :)
Thanks for the helpful video. Planning to visit in a few weeks and was wondering how feasible it was to take the bus. Everybody else is talking about taxis, uber and lyft. You are the only YTuber sharing this valuable info👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you! I watched your video and your directions were perfect! I got lucky and caught the 109 as I was exiting the terminal. Btw-the 24 All access Strip pass is cheaper on the local buses ($5.00) instead of $8.00 on the Deuce. 😊
Yes, what I usually do is hop on whichever one comes first (RTC roulette) if the CX comes first, faster but less scenic ride. Thanks for watching Paul! 👍
I heard that the CX bus was faster to get to center strip area (Flamingo). Centennial Express. No bus transfer to Duece at transit center. Try that one next time!!!!
Thanks that was interesting. But I'm wondering since the Deuce bus goes to the car rental center, could you just take the free shuttle to the car rental center and jump on the Deuce there?
Yes, go to Bay 18 at the South Strip Terminal to catch the 109 Maryland Parkway North bus to the airport. I have a video coming out on 6/15 that shows how with step by step instructions "Fremont to the airport via the Deuce". 😆
thank you this is helpful! i have two questions tho! how is it taking the buses with luggage? and is it possible to take the shuttle to the car rental place, then catch the deuce from there? or is it not a pickup spot?
The bus usually isn't crowded, just need to be able to manage your luggage without blocking the aisle. There is a stop for the Deuce at the Rent a Car Center, from there the Deuce goes to South Strip Station, then reboard to the next Deuce go to the strip or catch the 109 northbound to the airport.
Hi! Thanks for sharing! Just one question, how is the day counted in the 3 day pass? Is it valid for 3 days (example: 1st use is 3pm, end of day 1 at 11:59pm; day 2: 12mn-11:59pm; day 3:12-11:59pm) or it’s really good for full 72 hours?
It's for the full 72 hours. When you purchase the pass on the RTC app you are instructed to activate the pass right before you board the bus to get most time.🌴🦩
No, from Virgin you can catch the 108 bus, it runs from the airport to Bonneville Transit Center. At the BTC it is a 15 minute walk to Fremont or you can transfer to the Deuce. Otherwise it's a long walk or quick Uber to the strip. Here's more info on the Deuce ua-cam.com/video/XUzzhJ-7Eug/v-deo.html
Thanks for the vid, very helpful!! Do you know if this bus (or if there is another one) will take you directly from the Airport to the MGM grand or near it?I would love to save some $$ on expensive airport transfers
Airport to the Deuce will take you to MGM Grand. You can take the CX Express from the airport to near MGM only $2 and you don't have to transfer. But it only departs once an hour, what I would do is jump on whichever one comes 1st. If you don’t have a phone - it’s 50/50 to be able to actually buy a pass at the kiosk in the bus drop off area at the airport…sometimes it functions properly, but be prepared to face a broken or disconnected machine. You’d have to buy a your pass once on board the bus with cash…and there might be credit/debit payment available, also. No multi-day passes can be purchased on board. My info was current as of May 2024, but things change quickly in Vegas, so…..
How long on average, does it take for the 109 to get you to Fremont St? Thinking about taking it when I land in April (it’s a late flight 11:00pm arrival) and need to get to The D. Do I have to take the Deuce or can 109 take me close enough itself? I’ve heard that I don’t need to hop off and on the Deuce, but it seems this video says I do, so I wanted to have an idea ahead of time. Thank you for any help/suggestions. Your content is very helpful & much appreciated!
The 109 Northbound last stop is at the BTC terminal and it's a 3 block walk to Fremont, do not do this at night, EXTREMELY DANGEROUS! Taking the 109 southbound to the Deuce takes a little longer, but the South Strip Terminal has a heavy security presence. This isn't for everyone but you will save some money and start your trip with a tour of Vegas (actually kinda fabulous at night). Otherwise grab an Uber, here's a link to my new Deuce Video ua-cam.com/video/XUzzhJ-7Eug/v-deo.html

@@vegasnolaman Oh my bad. I thought you were saying the last stop on the Deuce was the BTC terminal. But you were saying that's the last stop of the 109. Sorry about that.
I believe so, you activate a QR code on the app and then hold it up to a scanner when boarding. I don't think a screenshot would work so mobile data is required.
Just to be clear, if I purchase the 3 day pass for $20.00 then I don’t need to pay for the bus 109? Also, I read somewhere that there is a seniors discount. Have you heard about this? Thanks for this step by step video!
Thanks for watching! Yes the pass covers fares for the city busses. Activate the pass just before boarding the 109 southbound at the airport. The senior pass that I saw online was only available for local residents and you had to apply for the pass. 🌴🦩

Great video, I also watched your July 8, 2021. Last October 2021 I followed that method to get to the strip. A fellow passenger coached my where to get off and where to catch the Deuce so I could get to the Flamingo. I think for my wanting to get to the Flamingo this "new" way might be better?? Is this route a new addition the RTC added since your July 8, 2021 video? Will this new method be faster, slower or about the same time as the method used in your July 8,2021 video? Please advise. I usually take whichever one comes first. The CX is faster to the strip and Fremont but only comes once every hour. The 109 & Deuce depart every 15 mins, it's a little slower to mid strip and Fremont but easier.
