Great Arrangement of Frank's vision and played with a precision that FZ would applaud. Loved It .
The way Zappa would have wanted to hear these works, I think. Well rehearsed and played with spirit and fervor, and joy!
By spirit and fervor, Zappa would say "Put the eyebrows on it."
Un placer escuchar la obra de este genio del siglo 20
Lost for words! I wish Frank had lived to see his music played as he concieved it
I can attest those arrangements are freaking difficult, killer Bass Clarinet part!
The conductors suit is almost as shiny as this performance!
No shortage of ambition required to play these pieces. Good work.
Im sure Frank would have been thoroughly entertained by this performance.
Thank you for continuing to play Zappa!!
Just a beautiful orchestration of Franks chamber music.❤
Superb, show casing the genius of Frank Zappa and his arrangements.
The only trouble is the inaudible mandolin.
It really is wonderful.
Ahh! This is so wonderful.
Great video, very beautiful rendition of some very beautiful music! I love Frank's orchestral chamber works, Mo 'n Herb's Vacation is the unsung hero of his repertoire.
По настоящему качественная и интересная современная музыка с интересными тембрами без перебора в сонорику. Мелодии сложны , но вполне понятны. Мне нравится , как Фрэнк работает с оркестром, и с перкуссией в частности.
1:23....... the clarinet plays "in that magic go-cart" riff from "Duke of Prunes".
Great catch
Mind-boggling how the same person can write masterpieces in such different styles. "Get Whitey" is my favorite Frank Zappa orchestral composition.
Одна из лучших
Uncle Frank Genius Lives✨♥️
Bravo!
Would have been very happy to see this performance...all the really good classical gigs were in Europe....
not quite true: i saw Toronto's Esprit Orchestra perform "The Perfect Stranger" back in the '9os, an extremely well done performance that even included the introductory theatrical cavortment of the vacuum cleaner salesman interrupting the curler-headed housewife as she went about her duties (clouds of powder erupting from her featherduster as she swiped at frontrow orchestra members' shoes), rolling Chunga in & inducing her to sit on it before turning it on to her great vibratory delight. dunno how many times this may've been performed accompanied by Frank's "minimal choreography" but i'll bet not many.
Yeah very nice to hear this wonderful music but
when you think about Frank Zappa you think about satir
and we miss him............
Magnifico.
Fantastic, this was such fun to watch.
Excellent work
Good job !
si magnifique....
Greasey love songs Arf Arf !!!
Brilliant 👏!
what a cool!!
12:50 gspot tornado
8:02 Dog Breath Variations + Uncle Meat
+ G-Spot Tornado
Does anyone know if they made this recording for sale on CD?
Thanks for this.
Magnifique. Où pourrais-je trouver la partition de Get Whitey svp ? Je la cherche partout...
Merci beaucoup
8:02 good but too fast.
agreed & the pace makes them sludge it some at first, though they pull it together eventually. "Get Whitey" & "G-Spot Tornado" are killer versions, though, & it made my smile overflow into a gaggle'o'giggles to see Pintscher's obvious delight during "G-Spot". now if only we could get a well-rehearsed "Sinister Footwear" (among other things, of course)!
Get whitey is played too slowly. Compared with the Ensemble Modern performance in 1992 with Frank watching out. Still awfully beautiful music. But a slight bit too slow.
