Justin I cannot express how happy I was that you thought of my deck when you got mono-green legends. I gotta say I love it when games have extra rules. I'm really impressed with Justin getting this win, making that decision super early on that it'll hurt them more than me. At first I was surprised it stuck around for the entire game, but the only player with green or white was benefitting off of it. Good job guys.
I would've liked to see Mr. Suarez's deck do a bit more, especially with this commander. Unrelated, it looks like Jon has lost some weight - so congrats on that! Mr. Parnell showed that green is a pretty awesome mono color. I believe Mr. Noell may have missed the Syr Konrad/Bojuka Bog trigger, but there was a LOT going on in this game, so I can't fault him for that. It was definitely interesting seeing Mr. Green play a blue deck. I applaud him, as I always struggle with knowing what to counter and what to allow. Overall, a great game, gentlemen. Thank you for my Wednesday fix of EDH!
Syr Konrad is part of the FIRE design where it has so many lines of text that people forget just how much he does. I actually saw this exact issue on the 'I Hate Your Deck' show the other day. Still, that Jeremy read out the ability several times including a turn after the Bajuka Bog when the Praetor's Council happened is a bit frustrating to watch. Mainly though I kind of hate Syr Konrad's lack of grokability though.
Awesome video guys, can you put track of the point system somewhere on the screen? Just to see who is winning the season and how you make your decisions for winning points.
Great game. And to all the people who comment on play mistakes, this is for fun don't take it too seriously, you don't really see many channels like this playing themes and less powerful decks. I wish I had a group I could do this with.

I kinda felt the same way. 8 don't mind getting combo killed in games... but slog/slug decks just put me in a 'stop whatever is hurting me' mode as sl7g decks just drag the game out or make it frustrating lol usually.
I think the game showed it was the right decision. His deck is built to draw a TON of cards and even through oppression he still constantly had cards in hand and oppression kept both Jeremey and Stephen tapped for resources. It's definitely a play that looks strange at the time but was totally the right decision.
It's a bit nit-picky... but would it be possible to determine who goes first, before the turn order is laid out, so someone tied for last place in points could go second in turn order? Was a bit sad to see Jon go last this game (when he seems to have been in last the entire season =P). I'm a big fan of the turn order shifting based on points, and would appreciate to see it go this one step further.
Stephen, you had one job: CAST STORM CROW FROM THE COMMAND ZONE!!! I've seen you throw games for the laughs many a time before, and you could have done that this game. All it took was to discard one card for eternal glory!!!

Enjoyed both trips to the Kaldehim pantheon. Though Tegrid is probably a little too mean for casual games like this. Felt a bit bad for Jon but the deck had to be kept in check.
Kinda surprised that after giving away first blood last week Stephen didn't cast his god as the raven and take it this week either. I guess it lessens any potential targets on his back but eh
In fairness if Justin had the Praetor's Council in hand the whole time, then leaving Oppression to tax Stephen's counterspells seems like the winning play. I agree from the outside it seemed like the wrong choice, but as the result shows, sometimes Justin knows what he's doing lol
@@ewanhiddleston6642 Even without Council in his hand, his deck is built around drawing a TON of cards so he felt he could outgrind oppression and it would benefit him by ripping your opponents hands apart as well. @@cinco_de_la_tarde I don't really agree with you that this deck is built around draw. The previous version of this deck had a commander that drew on every legend, this has maybe 5/6 draw pieces, which is kind of average. Stephen's deck on the other hand was far more actively built around draw and he really didn't want the Oppression sticking.
Was excited to see someone get Tergrid and ready to see her pop off. Disappointing to see such a late cast and opting for more of the group slug effects upfront. Jon felt he was gonna get teamed on and lose anyway so he didn't try to put her out till it was too late. Doesn't help Stephen was playing blue and usually has a hard on for Jon anyway lol. After the pongify was wasted I would of just casted Tergrid as soon as 5 mana was available. Then maybe been more cautious about the 2nd cast. But if they are going to be targeting you regardless it doesnt matter how much your commander costs so just keep casting. The deck works around Tergrid while the support is just annoying without her, so its better to try and get her out than just casting the support trying to play around removal.
