Nice! So, now lets hear a head to head comparison of these Sonetto V vs the Lumina V like you used to do! We need to decide if the Sonetto is worth the extra price over the Lumina.

Finally a music that is not made for hifi shows... This is important IMHO as there are folks who use their setups for all day background music like I do. In those cases I would definitely not listen to let's say Roger Waters - Too Much Rope :D (for active listening yes)
I disagree. Although I enjoy the wkend very much (and mind you despite being pop this is an excellent production) most pop is made to sound good on cheap electronics meaning exaggerated bass and treble and lots of other flaws. Not the best material to show what a top notch speaker can do. In fact a simple piano recording tells you more about the class of a system than almost everything else. If you have the ears to hear it. Yes, for a speaker of this price range such music is more suited because it is affordable for younger people but if you want to showcase high end stuff most generic recordings just won’t cut it. That is why you often times here less popular music that is superbly recorded non the less.
@@elderinmoi1571 I des agree, the choice of sound Sommelier proof that the high end hifi is also for popular music and so younger users or most popular people. I listen to jazz, blues, pop, funk and all kind of rock even indépendant and this today music choice is a kind of démocratisation, generosity and hope for people who are dreaming of such system. It's more a subtil social message that Sound Sommelier send today and thank you for that. My children don't listen to jazz and looking at videos which only diffuse jazz music would say that those systems are only made for Jazz, so for an elite according to the age, to the social level. The young guy who buy a nice system to listen to pop music will finally discover the subtility of the sounds and his music will probably move to jazz, blues and why not classic.

@@bobbycaldwell9478 and if another 1000 will disagree with me it will not get right 😀 I even wonder what you disagree on ? That most pop is made to sound good on cheap systems and therefore lacks quality on high end systems or that pop is seldom a good choice because you can’t even tell how it is supposed to sound many times not even in the vocals as they are also processed in a way that suits cheap systems. Only recordings of real instruments can give you a true hint if the system is giving a live like real representation. It should not be that hard to understand.by the way this guy here knows good recordings and the music is always something that is very very well recorded. So thankfully one is able to make a good guess even via UA-cam. I just wanted to explain why jazz classic end E music in generell is more used to demo a high end system.
@@elderinmoi1571 you know, I understand what you're talking about, about the complexity of restitution of certain instruments, like guitar, piano or saxophone. I give a lot of attention to that when I listen to John Coltrane or Jimmy Cobbs. The reason of my desagree is the fact the initiation of certain new audiophiles comes with usual music's, like pop even if the restitution is not very difficult to do with high end system. Young or new audiophiles have to be attracted with their music, without any selection. Hifi is not a "cast". My English is not very good and I don't know if I use the right words. My French is better.

Clear and detailed but bright.
These are on my wishlist. They look to have great build quality. Looking at their specs, 100w per channel is more than sufficient to drive them?

This track is not well suited for the Sonettos and Accuphase Integrated. Sorry Sound Sommelier, this one is a miss.

There are also hifi headphones :) I'm sure that 500€ headphones sound almost the same as 5€ ones :-)
