Typical scenario with the two taking off, you going the long way round to head them back only to find they've already turned and run back. Every shepherd has done this countless times!
FEC procedure is really easy to learn too! I'm planning on putting together a "How To" blog after a lot of interest in my area. Love to hear everyone moving to doing regular FECs ❤
Chris it is not nearly as funny when you bus the sheep to a new paddock when they could have run wild through the strawberry garden - I remember shifting sheep with my father out of the hop paddocks and down the road but the buggers decided to bolt for the main road where the loging trucks and holiday maker with their caravans were going through - Father: GET in front of them, Me: I have not shoes on Father: just run - somehow (I was about 13 yrs old) I got in front of them - there I am standing on the main road waving my arms like a lunatic, stopped the traffic but did turn the sheep
Thanks for mentioning egg counts, exactly the same goes for dogs, cats, horses, poultry. We should all be doing it. If we don't, in not much time, we'll have no effective wormers. I've saved a fortune egg counting my dog rather than automatically giving wormers whether needed or not.
Idea for Orf avoidance... have some antibacterial wipes (buy them in bulk, not by the single pack) in the car, every time you deal with sheep wipe your handst, and the steering wheel and gear shift... I worked in a hospital lab and you would be surprised what gets left on hard surfaces. Also do you guys worm yourselves on the regular? What do you use to treat yourselves? Just a heads up... I subbed a long time ago, and the last three videos I've checked and I've been unsubbed each time 😮 I think when a channel gets a lot of new subscribers, the AI has a fit and randomly unsubscribes people. So everyone check your status... the strange thing is the videos still come up on my next list on the smart TV so I didn't even think about if I was subscribed or not.
Hi I love watching your videos. Even though times are hard for you at times, you always put a positive spin on it. I do wish though that you would change your setting so that if we have to stop watching your video for some reason, that we can come back to it at the same time we stopped watching, so we don't go back to the beginning again 🎉🎉🎉
Thanks for promoting responsible use of medicines

There will always be the headstrong ones going left when all the others go right. You got soaked over your boots.

Thanks. You're so funny i think this flock would watch you watching paint dry
Put some olive oil in worm gun to loosen it up works great😊
🍓 gutted! 😂
Lambs will always thrive and do well on stubble ground. Its all the little fresh growth after the corn. Did you ever find your ram
I was wondering about the ram as well.
Was it the shedder?
If you didn’t like it double click on the thumbs down 🤣🤣👌 and they will too, you know!!

Always love your videos! I would subscribe twice if that was possible!
It makes me chuckle that you are still in shorts! It’s freezing! 😊
One of my kids is the same, apparently every season is shorts season 😂

Good video you make sheep farming so light hearted 🙂
Great video!
Thanks for making me laugh 😂
👍🐑❤
Did you ever find your tup /ram
I think someone stole it.... if it died in the water it would eventually be seen.
I love your videos!! Very humorous, you are. Question, what do you mean by store lamb?
Good job keep it up
Ducks! Lost 🐑. I tried to buy you two a sheepdog puppy but I can’t afford them… 😂😂😂
Thanks
Did you find your tup yet
Love the videos but by any chance can you do a wee explainer video for us non sheep people. What's a cull ewe, store lamb etc.. ta
I suggest his back catalogue, very entertaining and Chris explains these things in earlier videos.
6:40 Have you tried the solar panels from Rappa? They’re not expensive and keep a battery going for at least a week. Or would it get stolen? 🤦🏼♂️
🤣 double click the thumbs down 🤣
Legend :p
New subscriber here, from when you went fanny-ing around with The Tom Pemberton :)
Which animal, in your experience, is the dumbest? Cows, sheep or goats? Dumb, not crazy or unruly. Just plain dumbness.
Ill say sheep hands down !!
Lol maybe sheep = dumb and goats = conniving and deliberately naughty
Goats have dodged the selective breeding for stupidity
