I cannot imagine how much joy, satisfaction and pride your installations give you as you walk past them every day. You are creating a jeweled box inside and out. My heart would soar to live in such a place.
I love seeing the work of an artist in their house. You live in your beautiful art. And, you are always so kind and unselfish to share your knowledge with the world. You are so appreciated sweet and artistic lady! Thank you! ❤️
I've been watching your peacock videos & enjoying them so much. I love your enthusiasm in all you create. It's a joy to behold. The peacock is the most beautiful creature to grace your walls, so proud & stunning. A truly magnificent work of art. Thank you so much for showing. ❤😀🖐🇦🇺
Every year, better and better! So honored to be able to see your continuing impressive projects. You really are an inspiration and thanks again for letting us watch and learn from you. You are the BEST.
So inspired by what you did this lockdown. I remember walking up those stairs to a workshop a couple of years ago and falling in love with your goddesses. I ever I am lucky enough to get to another workshop in Bearwood you will have to drag me out down those stairs and through the door at the end of the day! Learned so much from you. Thank you. Cx
Thanks Lynn There were a few things I had to consider... the grey grout isn't my usual colour of choice and it had a very different drying effect. The Mapei Ultracolour Plus 144 Chocolate is quite sandy and easier to manage! Good luck in your projects 🥰
There always a part of a project that is less fun and enjoyable but if not done right you'd never be happy with it. Shows your greay work ethic. Thoroughly enjoy your videos, commentary and your creations. Thanks for posting.
I just adore your work! I recently had to sell my lake home... I had put so many hours and months into the floors and walls there. I pray the mosaic’d areas are maintained over the years. About to begin similar work in my primary home.:) you are such an inspiration!
Around 15 years ago, I rented a friend's home. She let me Mosaic the kitchen worktops. When I moved , she renovated the kitchen entirely, she gave me one of the worktops but not my favourite one (I think her builder took the others) but hey I was happy to have a practice run for my forever home ! It's good to let go and share with others your joy 💗💗💗
Nice job Caroline. Seeing you do this section of your house inspired me to do the side of my bath. I know each person has their own method, but have you thought about making your grout a little drier. I mix in just enough water (with a little bonding liquid/keycoat - for strength and waterproofing), to make a mix the consistency of pastry dough. So much easier to work with, and a lot less messy to clean up off the tiles. You can wipe off any excess immediately with a paper towel, leaving very little cleanup to do once it is properly dry.
Actually Megan I did make the consistency of the grout a lot thicker on the crockery than on the peacock plumes.... it made it much easier to manipulate. In my Garden Goddess panels series I made the grout quite doughy.... ideal for larger gaps, but that's why I use Ultracolour plus.
Caroline, I think you are an inspiration for women all over the world. I know all people are welcome, no matter their race, colour, gender or creed, but I feel like I am inside a "women's den" which is really very nice. Just my view.
I keep seeing that same rubber kidney and am severely jealous. I'm not sure how old it is, but the plastics they use today aren't the same kind of rubber, basically, they suck! I keep looking but have yet to find that kind in Canada, so, if you can find them there, please share the link. I'd be more than happy to order one from wherever they can be found.
Hi there. I love your videos thank you. I have a question how do you put the grout on thick enough to cover the sharp edges of the broken dishes! ? I have made a couple of mosaics and when I put the grout on and then wipe it off I have sharp edges that will cut my fingers 😩 any advice?
parabens lindo ,,um abraco da Holanda,,, e um dia tiver tempo vem a ver meus mosaico ja tenho 2 trabalho cemecie esses dias muito obrigada voce me inspira um abraco da Holanda
You can purchase all of these on line... try searching through Malta Ebay. I'm sure you'll find! I have given you a couple of links ! All the best Caroline x

Amazing peace of art and you did a awesome job. Congratulations
Oh my!!! Very instructive about the grout and how it dried early - and the cleanup. What a chore! You are a rockstar - I am quite inspired!
Thanks Lynn

The peacock is magnificent ! Valuable to hear about your grouting process. The tear drops just perfect. A labour of love 💓
That was painstakingly created but the Beauty surpasses all 😍😍😍 and makes it worth the while 🦃
WOW!!! Jaw-dropping, amazingly beautiful! I just watched with my mouth opened as you skillfully grouted the peacock. Luv your staircase.
Thank you Susan 🥰

Floating feathers on the other side might match the peacock. I love the way it looks!
That is just gorgeous!

I bought my rubber kidney from Pottery materials on line. You can buy them on ebay or Amazon.

Gently sand or grind the edges of sharp pieces or those that are higher or different levels than the others . I use a dremel or my tiny belt sander.
Any thoughts on what you'll do during the next 5 lock downs?

Peacock 's colours i.e blue and green would also be good

The grout is a light grey.
