You will need to download a copy of the amidedos.exe file attached to this link : support.silico...
Download Rufus and Lenovo tool with this link: t.me/ariesdown...
You will also need a DOS bootable USB stick and copy the amidedos.exe file only to the USB.
Once your boot into the USB you can type the amidedos commands as follows to imprint the DMI information.
amidedos /SM ["String"] Read/Write System manufacture in Type 1.
amidedos /SP ["String"] Read/Write System product in Type 1.
amidedos /SS ["String"] Read/Write System Serial number in Type 1.
Thanks Harshad! I almost gave up , have a lenovo B510 AIO which always showed me error "Invalid machine type and serial number" nothing worked.... no bios available. But dmi tool and your tutorial on this helped me out. Thanks again.
Thanks for the help man, I appreciated it, I almost try another software but this one works fine to me, what happened to me was, my boss did buy another board for the AIO 510-22ASR, he actually bought the AIO 510-23ASR board, so the machine had this issue, took me a time to start my USB, because for some reason was not being recognized on the PC, after I figure out that everything goes well, then I follow the steps on your video and now is fine, huge thanks bro, keep it up

Thank you Sir. I have Lenovo T510 with similar problem. I prepared a DOS bootable UBS using rufus-4.0 and copies the AMIDEDOS file as well. After I boot the laptop from USB when I try to read (AMIDEDOS /SP) or write (AMIDEDOS /SP 4313CTO) I get error: Init. SMBIOS ERROR. Please help. The laptop BIOS is updated to the latest from the Lenovo Bios Update Utility.

Thanks for information. My Ideapad520 turns on but stuck with black screen forever after BIOS update by lenovo official updater. After reflashing BIOS, it cames to show Lenovo logo again. But it takes almost for 60 secounds until it shows Lenovo logo. I think this long waiting time is caused by the mismatch on Model name, MTM, and SN since I reflashed another Ideapad520's BIOS. Do you happen to have any suggestion on how to tackle this problem? I tried amidedos that is demonstrated on this video clip, but everytime I execute each command, it showed "Init. SMBIOS ERROR". This might be what you mean "won't work on H20 bios model"?
It would not work on new model due to changed the technology in bios

It was my first time to clean ME region, but thanks to the information on the internet I managed to achieve. Now my bricked Ideapad520 came to life again from the symptoms like stuck in black screen, or long waiting time before it shows Lenovo logo. Now it shows Lenovo logo in 5 seconds after I push power button just like it used to. It took almost a week to fix this issue. I'll never trust Lenovo official BIOS updater. I have updated Acer, Asus, Dell, HP's BIOS with manufacturer's official updater before. But I have never encountered a problem. Anyway, thank you for your information and advice.
