I actually ran across a toralei bootleg irl it was pretty accurate from far away but if you knew you could instantly tell the clothes were off. The guy was charging 70 something for her as if she was real

I HAVE THE MASK GIRL ONE!!! When i was a kid, monster high dolls were pretty expensive in brazil, and my mom doesn´t have money to buy a original one. In my birthday, i ask her if i can get a fake monster high that i saw in a 5 reais (brazillian real) store. She are blue with a high ponytail and bangs with blue and white hair(like the doll in the photo), spiderweb eye lashes and fangs. The box are the same, but in color blue instead pink. She comes with a cléo mask (ghouls n rule doll) in color pink, blue draculaura wings(ghouls rule to) and a skulette without head. Her shoes are disassemble.
I remember her box is translate, and the brand is "cuca maluca". I never found some information about her. Her plastic is so bad, the neck broken and i've been really upset. Anyways, i love her, she are a pretty fake doll and make me so happy! She was my favorite doll. Today i have original ones (i am collector), but i still look for her, because she mades my childhood.

I just tried looking them up, and I can only find one doll. Looked like a ripoff of the Dracubecca, which tracks since that's the line Neigthan was introduced in.

In the late 80s & early 90s scary girls and guys were the predecessor to what later became goths. Scaries were more what I would describe as goth 'light'. An example of Scary aesthetic is the movie The Crow from the 90s with Brandon Lee. The Scary Girl dolls made me think of this.

My thoughts are, the US has sanctions on exporting to some countries (Russia) and China doesn't. I think China are filling the niche for people, in those countries, who want MH dolls but cant get the originals. Just my thoughts, happy thanks giving :)
