Outstanding footage and a lot of variety you spotted as well. Some nostalgia, modern and the newest all still going strong. Some interesting news about the West Coast Mainline, InterCity Trains are looking to work alongside Avanti West Coast to run additional services in and out of London Euston prior for the Queens funeral.
I know that because I worked there. When we had a batch ready for dispatch,we would notify British Railways, and a quality control would visit us. We would have the consignment of boxes on a bench. Thanks Andrew, I really enjoyed filming this one and I certainly wasn't alone filming these trains. I have a feeling you are going to love the next video or should I say.. series. 😃
very good video, the quality is just fantastic, the train I like the most is the class 390, the sound of this train is just superb, the design of this train is unique
I believe that TPE Mk5 set was being sent for reliability modifications. I'm not exactly sure of what that entails but they were fairly regular during April. Thanks for watching MrGriser.

Very nice video!! Specially the first train, seems very important. I'm curious of something: If we suppose that the all the UK lines were electrified, will class 42 and HST dissapear? Because it won't make sense to still have them, as they are diesel trains; but in the other hand, it will get a lot of people mad because of the value of it. What do you think?
Hey Joel, I'm really glad you've given my video a slice of your attention this week. There is a lot of passion and emotion with the High Speed Trains and as the first 125MPH capable trains (even electric weren't this fast), I agree with you however, about enthusiasts being upset. If all railways were electrified, I would imagine a similar system to mainland europe would apply where diesel/battery locos are used in depots for freight and all movements on mainlines are electric. Thanks for watching 😃
On Monday 23rd August 1982 I was on Rugby Midland Station betrween 9-40 am and 11-30am and during that time I saw 22 electric locos either hauling trains or standing idle. The only diesels seen were 46017 which brought 3 concrete wagons from the south and shunter 08667. I cannot for the life of me understand why NOW so much of the freight traffic has reverted to diesel haulage.
@@Sarahbryson321 I honestly cant remember saying anything like that. What I do criticise is the use of diesels including 66s on fully electrified lines to pull freight that until a few years ago was hauled by electric locos.
Technical question please? Was there some degree of coordination and cooperation between the likes of BTH and English Electric and Metro Vick on the switches and instruments in the cab?
I realise why the London Midland trains have these constant beeping noises but I don't really like it. Plus I think that there's a danger that you won't really hear other noises because of it. Am I correct in thinking that the constant beeping noise is to help prevent drivers from falling asleep at the controls? If it is then it won't really work in the most extreme of cases, because if the driver is tired enough he's still going to fall asleep whether or not there's an annoying loud beeping sound or not.
All is well, I'm actually finding it rather difficult to balance my time between my full time job and UA-cam (filming and editing). Who would have thought that it requires a lot of time investment? 😃
Stopping for some reason Could be lots of reasons Maybe to disembark passengers or take on board new passengers Maybe to take on more supplies of champagne

The pendolinos tilting out from under the flyover has to be one of the best shots of trains in UK for me, great video over all!

Some of the components for the early 85 or 86 class of Electric locomotives were made in the Works alongside the station
